Blue Wolf Tavern

I love this place for dinner and I'm not really a big sports fan. I'll bet people go here to watch all the games, but it also has a big cozy fireplace, a warm and inviting bar and dining room, and really, really good food. It's on the more expensive side, about 20-30$ per dinner plate, but it's so charming and fun and delicious that the prices seem fair. The only thing we noticed was that it took a long time to get our orders. But, given that the virus has made business as usual a gigantic challenge, we can give some grace. I'm just so happy they're open! We had great sandwiches, hot peppers in oil with lovely warm rolls, very tasty wedding soup, and a beautiful big chicken Caesar salad. Everything was fresh, and delicious. Not sure I would want to try to have dinner in the bar dining area on Friday or Saturday night, even though I like it the best, because it would be pretty loud. But they do have a quieter dining area. I would happily celebrate my birthday, meet my friends, or watch a good football game here (if I watched football). It's a warm, classy, entertaining, and delicious spot.

Beautiful interior, upon entering the ambiance is immediately as welcoming as it is classy. The hostess was there to greet my party of 6 & the dining area was amazing, interior design was amazing, seating was perfect for large parties, or tables for 4 or dining for 2. Our food server had our drinks ( which she never left empty) & appetizers ..sides and main entries out on time. Plates cleared in between, timing was spot on, as a former server i could see the staff was trained well. She was knowledgeable of the menu, the apps, in betweens and main entree came out in perfect timing for the dining experience we were having, friends and family keeping in touch, catching up while enjoying great food in a comfortable atmosphere. I was impressed. If you're in that area, you should go. It's not only nice but an obvious very well ran restaurant. I can't speak on the prices, my son takes the check every time..

I enjoyed what I ate that evening. I had the steak filet medallions with the sweet potatoes, dinner salad, bread w/butter and a lightly salted margarita + water. I would go there again, decent ambience, nice wait staff, over all clean, but be aware prices are a little on the high side IMO. It might just be a northern thing, however, I would say I believe they do use too much salt on their food rather than seasonings. I & my mom-in-law, who lives locally here, noticed several of the restaurants we ate at this week left us extremely thirsty the rest of the night, and this rarely happens to me after dining out back home in TX which is why I say it might be a seasoning issue.
