We were looking for somewhere to eat breakfast on the beach. We had never been to York before and found this cute little purple diner right across the street from the ocean. Our greeter, an elderly man was very kind and efficient. We could dine inside or outside. We chose inside. Love the purple theme! They had original pictures on the wall of the area for purchase. The waitresses were efficient and attentive. For being short staffed they did a good job. They did not give us drink refills, the pancakes tasted a little off and there were hardly any strawberries on our strawberry pancakes. The hash browns were amazing! We thought it was a bit overpriced but maybe that's because we're not from the area? If there was nowhere else to eat for breakfast I might either again.

First red flag was when we walked in and saw this 80+ year old hosting and washing tables with dirty mop water. Home fries were burnt, servings were small, ham was harder then a hockey puck, hot chocolate was made with water and when I asked if we could do milk she said we have no way to heat the milk up 🙄so y'all ain't have microwaves now ah days? Menu says the place has been around 50+ years, my guess would have been 80+ with how out dated everything was. If you're sitting in a booth your heads are so close with the people behind you that they could spread lice to you. Flys were swarming us while we ate, also took a veryyyy long time to get our breakfast 45+ minutes for three meals. EXTREMELY FRIGID INSIDE**** Bring a coat, or better yet DO NOTT GOO HEREEEE!

We ate breakfast here on 6/29/22. When I placed our order with the young woman at the counter it was very loud and she seemed to have a hard time understanding me so I took the menu and pointed out the Palace breakfast. I ordered one with sausage and one with bacon. After waiting a long time for our food, the person who brings us our food delivers two Specials. I explain that we ordered the Palace breakfast and her response was “that’s not what the kitchen ticket says”. I kindly explained that perhaps the girl who took our order misheard me and she said “well that’s a big price difference, do you have your receipt?” I told her we did not get a receipt and I would pay the price difference but we would like the Palace breakfasts. She was incredibly rude and impatient and left our table. As we were waiting for her I went up to the counter to explain to the girl that our order was wrong and here comes the other lady who inserts herself and says “he did not get your order wrong that’s what the kitchen ticket said”. Again, I explain that I understand that but I think the younger girl must have misheard me and I would like to order the right thing and pay the difference. The lady says impatiently that the cook is making our French toast and to not worry about it. Not two minutes later a lady walks in who had a large to-go order that she had just left with and she came back to say they had forgotten some of her food. I watched the lady do the exact same thing to her. Basically defend herself and tell the customer there’s “no way” they could have gotten it wrong. It was so frustrating. Neither I nor the other customer were trying to be difficult. It seemed obvious that the younger girl was maybe overwhelmed and had just made some mistakes. No one was trying to be difficult we just wanted what we had thought we ordered. The younger girl did not repeat the order back to me nor did she give me a receipt so how was I to know she had misunderstood me? Also, let’s just find a solution versus pointing fingers and making the customer feel like there’s no way anyone but the customer could have messed up the order. The French toast was good but the eggs were not great, we got the bottom of the coffee pot which was oddly cold and the bacon my husband got was not cooked well. It was incredibly disappointing.

Took very very very long time(1 hr) to get the food. Everybody includes two little kids were starving to get their first energy input. It is just ridiculous! I wish nobody gets the same experience as us. Food portion is very small and no way “the best breakfast” in town.

Me and my sister went in there seeing a breakfast restaurant and being hungry, we ended up waiting 20-30 minute just for them to get our order and then waited about an hour and twenty minutes for it to come just for my sister to get dry and bad tasting pancakes and me a half decent omelette we also just figured out it’s all microwaved so the fact that it took over an hour baffles me we saw people walk in and out that came in after us countless times, and the food is extremely expensive! 1/10 would not recommend to anyone

We each had a different breakfast item and we all loved what we ordered. The muffins were delicious and the bacon was perfectly cooked (and on the thick side) . One of us even ordered a smooth which was awesome. We sat outside and enjoyed our meal while planning our day.

I hate giving bad reviews but nothing about my visit yesterday was pleasant. From the time I sat down until the time my breakfast arrived was over an hour. I was in a good I'm on vacation mood so i wasn't really that frustrated but then the food was pretty bad. Little shriveled up bacon, a flat small pancake, and 1 of my easy over eggs was already broken. All and all a lousy experience

Me and my brother came to this place for breakfast, we were seated by a man who looked well into his 70s or 80s, we were sat at a dirty table with bugs flying all around the place. We had to wait well over 30 minutes just to get approached. We waited almost 2 hours just for our food (the restaurant was basically empty and the food is microwaved to the fact that it took that long is incredible) and the food was low quality and disappointing, my brothers omelet looked inedible and my pancakes tasted like cardboard. I suggested going next door at “Molly Os” for breakfast instead of this place, we will never be retiring here.
