Cafe Hudson

This bar is seasonal and pretty much a headquarter for the people that live in the area during the summer. I have been going to this bar for many years and it is highly recommended. Waiters and bartenders are great and each bring their own persona to their shifts. I look forward to the nice weather so I can spend my nights catching up with friends, enjoying the views, and of course the drinks.

LONG-STORY-SHORT: This place is really nice and chill. The food was great, although the potato wedges were a bit tasteless (maybe they boil them without salt). Also it is a bit pricey for the amount of food you're paying, and there wasn't any napkins on the tables nor with our order, (thankfully I always have some napkins in my purse). DESCRIPTION: CAFE HUDSON is well located and has those beachy feels to it that I really love; it has a little chabby chic indoor area, a casual patio area and a cute and romantic outdoor area with sand, that has an incredible view to the Hudson River, the sunset and Manhattan. ACCOMMODATIONS: place is good for dinner, groups and the ambiance, interior and the place in general is nice, nothing fancy, pretty much a casual beachy style bar and lounge. They have valet parking and bike parking, which is nice. OH! AND PLEASE! it doesn't hurt to play at least jazz music, we were talking about it, this place needs music to complete the good ambience. SERVERS: Thankfully we had a great and friendly server, a little slow, but good; the other ones seemed way less attentive. There's always room for improvement and they could improve their service even more, because the outdoor tables were dirty and there was no one checking on the customers when I arrived, I just chose the table myself and waited for someone to greet me. I went there with my husband, they had a bbq that night and the food smelled delicious. EXPERIENCE/FOOD AND DRINKS: We ordered a couple beers, they have a good selection and were very cold. From the menu, we had two burgers, the "Vegan Burger" and their special one: "Best Burger In Yonkers" that was more like a traditional American Burger with mushrooms and a different type of cheese added, but it was very well-made, tasty, the ingredients looked and tasted fresh and overall it was good. We both liked the vegan burger better, 100% recommended! We ordered two services of fries and asked for ketchup and salt since the service is two small and there was nothing on the tables, again - not even napkins.
