This place is the bomb! The service is always good here and the food is always great. Their sauces are great. I've only had 2 of them but both of them are GREAT! The pasta is GREAT! The appetizers are alright. Nothing special when it comes to the starters here. Even though I always ask for "no ice" in my drink it was still cold as hell.
The ravioli is GREAT! The menu says they make it "in house" and I could believe it because it's very good. They have cheese, beef and chicken ravioli. The sauces add to the greatness because it's SOOOOO GOOD!
Seating is good but it's a little too dark inside. You can ask them to brighten up the atmosphere if it is too dark. People are friendly. Good parking. Not too many bad things I can say about this place.
The food is so good that I forgot to take pictures of my entree when it first came to the table. Everything at the table was good. If you want Italian food you need to try this place first to set a benchmark. If you haven't tried this place but have eaten at an Italian restaurant then eat here to see if it's better than your favorite place.
Clean, quiet, easy parking, attentive staff. Made from scratch old school Italian. The butter-parsmasian bread dip will hook you in.
I work all over the Midwest and dine out over 100 days a year at the finest restaurants in Detroit, Chicago, Cincinnati, etc. I ate at Magdaleno Ristorante 22 times in 2021 and between my coworkers and myself sampled every item on the menu (along with a fair share of the different wines).
Chef Ernesto has created the best combination of taste, atmosphere, and service I’ve encountered to date. I’ve never felt more welcome and taken care of at a restaurant and the food is consistently phenomenal. The menu is full of taste but never too rich.
I’ve driven over 50 miles one way to eat here on at least 5 occasions. The anticipation builds to a fever pitch on the drive as we discuss our potential food and wine selection (knowing the menu by heart). The fever breaks as we walk in and comfortably enjoy 2 hours of fine food, wine, and conversation. The drive back is filled with contentedly muttered exclamations about this dish or that being “better than ever, but how? It was already the best”.
If you are in the greater Detroit area I recommend a pilgrimage to this gem. If you do, I assure you of, as Kipling said, “a full gorge and a deep sleep”.
I brought my Father in law for his 70th Birthday with my wife to this great place. I had found this place by accident one day and took my wife. She loved it! So after 2 years she decided on this place to finally go out to dinner. (She was freaked out about Covid) We had the BEST time and our waitress Andrea was outstanding. Great sense of humor, like us and that made the night special.
First time there and we had the three course brunch. It was amazing!! We are gluten free, so we couldn’t have the French toast, which looked delicious. Their GF menu options where huge and we can’t wait to go try them! Service was spot on!
Highly recommend!
