We had an amazing dinner tonight. Definitely the contender for best Mexican food in the city, no doubt. The chips salsa and retried beans were the best starter you could ask for. Perfect spice and seasoning, so good in fact we went after a second bowl. We ordered chicken enchiladas and a relleno burrito. I also got a side of rice and beans to add to my order. The burrito was one of the best I've ever had, just perfect. We will definitely be back and La Terraza is now at the top,of our go to restaurants.
I just literally ate here 4 hours ago. The moment I walked in, the smell of the grill and the Fajitas was really making me hungry. The owner, a really nice lady brought me chips, and two dips (one salsa Verdes and the other refried beans with cheese). I decided to have the steak Enchiladas Rojas, Jarritos mandarin and promptly finished the basket of chips. The Enchiladas was very nice, and I could see that the other patrons (and myself) all had their food freshly prepared at the grill. The server/cook brought my order to me and asked me if I would like some hot sauce, Green or Red? I replied Red and instead of coming back with a bottle, it was a helping of freshly made red hot sauce (you can see from the flakes and consistency). The Enchiladas included some fresh greens, a big helping of rice, and a small bowl of refried beans with cheese on top. Completely worthwhile meal. Oh yeah, service was great and everyone was very friendly to the other patrons and myself (Spanish speaking or not).
I've got the "Enchiladas Rojas de Rez". It is very tasty and filling. It's my first time having Mexican food and this place definitely did not disappoint. The waitresses and host we're extremely friendly and welcoming. The food came out at a reasonable pace as well. It's a very nice place if you're looking for a place to hang out with friends or just to have a casual dinner.
I was one of the first customers. I wandered in during what Angle described as a soft opening. I wanted tamales but they were 'coming with the expanded menu' (to paraphrase). Instead I had tostados, (sp?). They were great, as were the warm chips and salsa, but it was the tacos I had on the next visit that got me hooked. I've been back many times. I eat 'on the road' five days a week and this is a place where I can eat well for the price of a specialty sandwich meal at a fast food place. I've only been there in the afternoons and the service has been fast and friendly.
About 12 of us went for my birthday this year. The staff was amazingly friendly, drinks were good, and the food was fantastic. Their salsa was actually a bit spicy!! And the question dip was served with warm tortillas. It's a very casual atmosphere, the whole group had a blast.
Love this little place. The friendliest staff, fresh salsa and chips, and my favorite place for a flauta fix (all white meat chicken, yum!). Food is inexpensive and served quickly with a smile. Very nice people here and we always leave full and happy with the bill even after leaving a fat tip. I'm not a drinker, but I believe they also serve some alcohol here - I could be mistaken on that, so call and check if that's important. We've also called ahead for carryout orders with no issue.
Wow...I just had the most delicious alpastor burrito! It was huge and very tasty. I was served promptly and very politely. The salsa is nice and spicy just how I like it. I will eat there again very soon to try their mole.
