Treasure Dragon Restaurant

The food and the service are both great; however, I can only give them three stars because of the value for your money. Specifically, their lunch "specials" are not so special anymore, which only includes the main dish and rice. Many other Chinese restaurants also have lunch (and dinner) specials but, in addition to the main dish and rice, also include chow mein, soup, egg roll and maybe even a small salad. Treasure Dragon used to provide a small cup of soup with their specials; however, recently excluded it, even though the menu still shows it as part of the meal. When I asked about the change, the waitress stated the restaurant needed to cut back on expenses but would include a cup of soup for an additional $2.00, which is about 22% more than the meal itself. As a customer, I could understand raising prices overall on the menu, but to cut back on an already skimpy meal seems like a poor management decision as you would lose customers in the long run.

Went with 3 others and this place has good and bad like most places. The good: value for the money is HUGE. I got the Mongolian Combo ($9.99) and the plate was huge. It could feed a linebacker or a sumo wrestler. Lunch specials are $7.99 and come with soup and rice or noodles. The combo special comes with soup and both rice and noodles! The bad: taste is very typical and nothing to write home about. Very salted (MSGs?). Definitely eatable but probably wont be back.
