Back Bay Boathouse

Bayside has always been a favorite in our family and would have deserved a 5 in a past, but I averaged it with a 3 from our latest experience. From my perspective, although they were understaffed, the food felt somewhat subpar. Also, we called for a reservation which they clearly said they don’t take. This made us come extra early to ensure we got a table. After 10 minutes from our arrival, there was a reservation sign placed on the table next to us. We would understand if you don’t do reservations, but you should treat all customers the same in these instances.

Had dinner here with family but the food was one of the worst food I’ve ever had. Asked for tomato soup and legit tasted like marinara sauce, my little cousin even said it tasted like pasta! Then we ordered onion rings and man they were half cooked! Like why would you even serve it if you know they were half cooked? Where is the manager in all of this? Where’s quality control? My family spent over $200 at your restaurant and all of 10 of us were very disappointed. You guys need to hire a new cook.

Service was great. So was the food. My girlfriend went there with our 4 year old daughters. Even though all of our food came out at the same time, there was a considerable temperature difference between the adult food, and kid food. The adult plates were piping hot, while the kid's plates were warm. They actually thought to cool off the kid's plates. Was not expecting that. Will be returning.
