Excellent food and services. You can't beat the view. We didn't make reservation but they fit us in right away. Come early before the crowd so you can get a window seat.

06/19/22 Wolf Creek Bar - One of the best Charcuterie boards we've ever had. Wife even loved it, and she usually just tolerates my like for Charcuterie. :<) Also, possibly the best Sazerac I've had anywhere. So good, wife even had one. Both server and bar tender were very nice, and easy to talk to. All that and an incredible view. Dining Room - Menu somewhat limited. Took a chance on the Steelhead (hate it when I get tasteless farm-raised), but *this* was excellent, *including* the very nicely prepared potatoes and green beans. Service was great, and server was very pleasant. BTW...same incredible view. I would probably drive up from town to eat here at least once, even if I was not staying at Sun Mountain. There was a note somewhere that new owners are going to make changes. Hope they maintain the quality level of people, cocktails, and food currently in place.

My wife and I enjoyed lunch here. We found the service a bit slow and maybe not as professional as you would expect in a high caliber restaurant but the food quality was outstanding. We had burgers, one with soup and one with Caesar salad. Everything was delicious and more than adequate portions. I asked for my burger to be more medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. Incredible views and cold beer made for a fantastic lunch.

Called for reservations for 3 at 4pm. They said there was a 7:45pm slot. We said, "Yes" We had a special occation. Celebrating my Sister and my birthday and honoring my Mom's memory as she passed just 2 years ago. My Dad wanted something special. We arrived 20 minutes early just in case there was an opening so when we were told there wasn't and we could sit in the bar or the tv room, no big deal, we were early. When 7:45 hit we were told to please be patient, it would be 15 more minutes....no big deal, we are okay with that. Then someone came up to the host and said she was sorry but her party that was supposed to be there at 7 just arrived and was the spot still there. (Ummm it was 8 at that point, an hour late) They were told they saved their spot. So we were sitting there waiting for a spot and one was held for people that were an hour late?? We said nothing. We were finally called to our table shortly after 8. It was beautiful. Window seat, wonderful view! Problem was, we never got to even order our drinks or see our server for over 15 minutes. She apologized for the wait and took our drink order and dinner order at the same time. We wanted the clams as an appetizer but they were out. No big deal as during these times, that happens, no harm, no foul. Drink order didn't come for another 20 minutes. Dinner came about 5 minutes after our drinks. We were never offered more drinks. When she did come to see how we were doing we were done with the meal and we asked for coffee. I then said, "Oh, and a dessert menu!" which she said, that was a good call because the desserts were excellent. Coffee came, dessert menu never did, neither did offers to refill our coffee. My dad took his credit card out. He was "done" A dinner which we wanted to be special was not as special. It could've been really nice. Drinks and meals were good, coffee was good. Food and view I give 5 stars. Service and attention to detail is 2 stars, and that is being extremely "nice"

The ONLY acceptable item of our Christmas dinner was our server. $119 PER PLATE offered us a reasonable salad, poorly prepared entrees, miniscule portions, and a dessert that none of the five patrons "enjoyed". This was the most overpriced, ill-prepared cuisine we have ever been subject to....at a premium price. I never post negative reviews; however, $720.00 for such an incredibly poor dining experience warrants a "warning" to potential Christmas patrons. Sorry, but Sun Mountain, it was bad. UPDATE....here's the "kicker"...when our credit card charges arrived, it appears they "removed the server's gratuity"..... wow.

Somewhat limited menu, but the food was excellent. Friendly knowledgeable staff, fast service, but we never felt rushed. Fabulous views.

It looks like the restaurant is making an effort to provide good service during these difficult times but they might have a way to go. This $18 prawn salad was underwhelming and a bit sad. I understand it was to go but... not what I expected. The steak was good but nothing to write home about. Looking forward to when the kitchen can be back to normal.

*would rate 2.5 if I could but not possible so rounded it up* Went here back in May and decided to wait a little while before writing the review to make sure it was really as much a let down as I thought it was at the time. We ordered the heirloom salad which was alright, tomatoes weren't seasoned or cored so I had to do that at the table, pretty bland. I asked for my steak to be medium rare and it was cooked between medium well and well done which was a big let down. Still tasted good but cook was way off. Desserts were mediocre and tiny, server even missed a couple orders. I have a feeling it was a very green crew in there or there's some people who were still shaking the rust off. Wish the price had been brought down to accommodate for that. I will definitely want to try it out again in a year or two to see if it's improved because I had such high hopes for the place but as it is now, I wouldn't go back for a while or I would ask for lower prices on the food.
