Rudy's Restaurant

Arrived at 10am on a Tuesday morning for breakfast. 3 other booths occupied. Sat myself and waited. Super nice server eventually came and dropped off a water and menu. I ordered a combo with sausage, eggs, hashbrowns and toast. Ordered my hashbrowns extra crispy with some cheese melted on them. Waited another 35 minutes for food to come out, and they forgot my hashbrown request. By that time I didn't have time for a redo. Since they forgot to make the hashbrown crispy and add cheese, I needed catsup for my babied tastebuds. Everything tasted fine. Eggs were cooked as ordered, generous portions, nice and hot. Am I picky or fast paced to think that was too long for a simple breakfast to be prepared? Everyone else already had their food in the restaurant, and no to go orders came through in the hour+ I was there. Bill was $9- so awesome price. Maybe will try again on a lazy morning.

Great good at a great price. Hash browns were cooked to perfection crispy outside and tender inside. Biscuits were made fresh and the sausage gravy was as near as my grandmas I’ve ever had at a restaurant!! Over easy eggs were cooked correctly. Coffee was very good. Highly recommend Rudy’s anytime you are in Winterset.
