Portions were great, the veggie selection and spice on the Szechuan chicken was incredible. Egg drop soup was great too. Delivery was fast and prices reasonable for the amount of food!

Just moved to the area and have ordered 3 times in the last month! Twice delivery and picked up tonight. All orders have been filled quickly and quality great. As a vegetarian sometimes it’s hard to find good quality and variety - tofu dishes are flavorful and tofu perfectly fried and not overly breaded. The General Tao’s Tofu is my go-to and husband loves the sesame chicken and steamed dumplings.

What a pleasure it is to visit Summer Palace! Great food in huge portions consistently delicious, excellent service, and always welcomed with a smile. I truly cant figure out how the lady in the front can solely keep up while simultaneously answering the phone, taking walk in orders, and dealing with all the UBER drivers. Thank you guys for feeding our entire High Voltage crew!

First and foremost, I was thrilled with the speedy delivery. The food arrived at my doorstep much quicker than anticipated, which definitely added to the convenience factor.
As I opened the package, I was met with the wonderful aroma of the Roast Pork with Vegetables. The dish was piping hot, as if it had just come straight out of the kitchen.
When it comes to serving size, Summer Palace Restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. The portion was incredibly generous, leaving me with plenty of leftovers for later enjoyment. It's always a bonus when you feel like you're getting your money's worth, and in this case, the restaurant delivered on that front.
I unfortunately discovered a few pieces of eggshell in the dish. It was a bit disappointing to encounter this unexpected obstacle, as it affected the overall enjoyment of the meal.
While finding eggshell in my food was not the most pleasant experience, I believe it to be an isolated incident that does not necessarily reflect the overall quality of the Summer Palace Restaurant. Perhaps it was a rare oversight in the kitchen, and I would hope that they take steps to ensure it doesn't happen again in the future.

I saw your bad comments from June 24th, in order to improve our customer service I called all the customers who came to our restaurant picked up orders around that time, I really like to find out what happen actually. But all customers said everything was good, nothing wrong, none of them left such a bad review from a user name “Anna E”.
Then Checked all Uber, Doordash, Grubhub customers and delivery drivers names and photos, then we found you. Actually you were a Uber driver came to our restaurant picked up a delivery order for customer “Sarah N” at 9:10pm, as we know, at first you was trying to take the food bag without indicating the cashier lady, when the cashier lady asked you to wait a second for her to finish taking a walk-in customer order, you interrupted the conversation between the cashier lady and customer twice. Based on the facts, I don’t think the cashier lady was rude to you, we have first come first serve policy, and every minute on your delivery trip including you wait in restaurant for food preparing is fully paid by Uber company.
I will file an incident report based on your actual behavior to clarify you were an Uber delivery driver not our regular customer.

I come here as a regular for the soup and sushi, both are very good. On DoorDash and in restaurant I believe, is a very good special. This sashimi boat is priced around $18 and comes with soup and salad. Everything was tasty and wonderful.
The sashimi was delicious, fresh, and plated and displayed very nice. If you love sashimi and want a good deal, try this out! Not pictured is the egg drop soup I also got. It was $3.95 for this big container. The soup is very comforting and warm.

We've ordered delivery and picked up from this place a few times now and we have loved it each time. We live in Summerlake community and this is the best Chinese place we have found that does delivery! Pizza delivery gets old fast, so this is a great alternative.
We are vegetarian and this place makes some good broccoli with tofu and garlic sauce. We also tried Kung Pao tofu and Gen Tso tofu w/ broccoli and water chestnuts and all items were great. We got it with a side of fried rice.
Unfortunately they don't had brown rice. The red boxes of rice are a nice look :)
Customer service could be better. One younger guy I spoke to the first time was easy to understand and talk to. The younger girl is not bad.

Summer Palace is our neighborhood favorite. We usually dine late, after 8 pm and never have to wait for a table. The staff is friendly and attentive. I always get the Singapore rice noodles, pictured here. As you can see the portion is HUGE! I always have another meal the next day with the leftovers. I order extra curry sauce on the side as it is a little dry for my taste. The spices are spot on and it brings the heat! Also L be their wonton soup and cashew chicken.

It is not a big, fancy and touristic place, but is really cosy. The food is well prepared and the owner is also one of the sushi men. The price is not as high as usual for Japanese food in Orlando and you may enjoy good oriental beers, such as Kirin and Asahi. Loved the place!

Disappointing. Over the years I've given this restaurant a try again and again, and it always makes me wish I'd either cooked myself or gone to a different place... After doing take out for a dinner combo- we did not realize until we got home that we were not given the egg roll nor fried rice as charged, and when we called, I was told we said to have only steamed rice (I promise this was NOT the case), and that we would have a credit towards next time. However how can I get a credit when no one asked for information??? What food we actually did receive lacked in cooking technique (really raw vegetables) and seasoning. I've wanted to love this place for convenience and supporting non-chain restaurants, but I officially give up :(

I don't know what everyone's talking about.... We've been going there regularly for a few months now, always has been great quality. We love the bento box lunch special and their sushi is very good. Dinner is great, love the added oranges at the end of our meals! I think other reviewers may be too picky.

My first visit to Summer Palace @ Summerport. Family of 4, first visit: waitress was uneasy with our questions regarding the menu (first time, we were not sure what to order). Ordered three different types of rice and sushi. Too expensive for the quality of food which was not impressive (fair if at all). Sushi: if you want Sushi, go to a Sushi place (lesson learned). We just wanted to try it since it is close to home (and to patronage local businesses). I would rather drive for better food.

Sandra. Every time I place the order for pick up - they always get it wrong, always extremely spicy! Also their prices for pick up is way too high for regular chinese place. Since the place changed the owner everything got very bad! Today was my last day at that place..... I asked for a little spicy and when i get home i could not eat it.

Customer No-Service. I have been a customer at this restaurant for many years...usually for dine-in service, which has been reasonably good. On Sunday, I as having some family over, so I decided to try their take-out service. I wish I hadn't. I ordered sweet & sour chicken with brown rice (they charge extra for this). When I got home with the order, I realized that instead or the brown rice I ordered, they gave me burnt fried rice with pork (which I don't eat for religious reasons) and, oh yes, they forgot the sweet & sour sauce all together). I went to the phone to call them, but my cell phone rang and I had to take care of an emergency. I ate the chicken dry as I ran out the door. When time later permitted, I called there and asked to speak with the manager. The woman said she was the manager and after keeping me on hold for quite a while, was rather rude and refused to do anything. Needless to say, I have ordered my last meal at Summer Palace.

Sushi too. The Chinese food is great and so is the sushi. All of the staff go out of their way to make your experience great. All-You-Can-Eat special is a great deal. We have never had bad food or service at Summer Palace.

Great Asian food and setting!. I have never been disappointed with Summer PalaceEver! <br/>Everything I've had whether appetizer, soup, entree, or dessert has been flavorful and faultless. <br/>Suffice it to say, it was the setting for one of my anniversary dinners.<br/>It's the best you can do around the Millenia Mall. <br/>Now, I'll say it is not the most affordable. It is average-to-pricey though they have added their two-for-30 specials recently in order to compete. But if you want Asian food that tastes great and is much healthier, you cannot go wrong here.<br/>I've gone to their cheaper Pei Wei version and it's not comparable. Pei Wei stuff tastes healthy but not great. <br/>My favorite appetizer krab rangoon and my number-one entree is Mongolian Beef. Mmm...yummy!<br/>Also, the setting is great and romantic.

What happened to the quality food?. It's been a while since we've been there. We read some of the reviews here and thought, surely the quality had not diminished as some have said. We ordered three items and none of them were good. It was not worth the time or money. We will not return. We should have heeded the advice!

Greasy Greasy Greasy. I used to get their takeout about once per week. No more, I'm done with this place. Something has changed and the workers wont connect me to the owner. The food is pretty good by Orlando standards and I'd keep coming if they didn't use SO MUCH OIL. Even when you request light oil it comes out swimming in oil. They even put oil on their white rice. Put the rice in a bowl, add warm water, and watch the oil race to the surface. Disgusting and unecessary. If you like high calorie greasy food that will make you FAT, this is the place to come. Recently, like everywhere, their portion sizes are shrinking, by about 20%. I can't speak to their sushi... i dont order it. The sushi bar ingredients do look really fresh. <br/><br/>I've switched to Tao Asian up the road as they dont use all the oil and will use even less when i request it. The food is comparable in taste. The only draw back to Tao is they've cut their portion sizes by 30-40% rather than raise prices. Hmm... maybe light oil, smaller portions is not such a bad thing for my wasteline.

Glad I gave it a second chance. The first time we had food deliverd from them this spring, the brown sauce dishes where very greasy. Upon the urging of a friend that has always had good experiences with Summer Palace, we tried it again. I did specify to go very light oil in the brown sauce dishes but everything was fantastic! Very fresh, hot and flavorful.

GREAT FL CHINESE TAKE OUT!. Since moving to FL (again) from LI, NY we have tried a few places for Chinese take out and have been seriously disappointed to say the least, UNTIL tonight when we tried Summer Palace/Windermere...I feel like a part of home is here! Great food, great service even for just take out this time around, but will be a regular there now.

Sushi was amazing! The all-you-can-eat sushi for $19.99 is a must if you plan on eating more than 3 rolls. Quite a vast selection of sushi to choose from. Been there several times and will always keep going back! Small family owned place and very friendly. Never had any issues with food or service here!

I am paying them.... ...so I can work. This place is slipping, and I don't get it. They were great when they had NO competition. Now however right when other Chinese Rest are moving in near by (4 now w/i 5 miles), their quality, service and portions have all slipped. It is now a rule to check your order before walking out the door, you have a pretty good chance of an item missing from your bag. Guessing competition isn't always a good thing!

On par with Amura. And that's saying a lot. The tuna was top notch. The chef (if that's what you call the skilled guy preparing the rolls) was expert. Presentation is good. All ingredients were very fresh. I'll try this place again.
