Wimberley Cafe

Stopped in for a late lunch at 1 pm. Only seating was at the bar. Ordered the daily special of pot roast and a side of sweet potato fries. Service was very good. Especially for how busy they seemed. My food came out quickly. The pot roast had carrots, celery, onions and an amazing brown gravy the really compliment the vegetables. The sweet potato fries came with a spicy ranch dipping sauce that was a good flavor combo for the fries. My total with a drink was right at $18z I had a very good lunch and will definitely be back.

A great place to get classic southern soul style food. There’s a lot of different options, all that you would expect, and everything meets the expectations. We got the chicken fried steak, the chicken fried chicken, and the Mediterranean Salad. Everything that comes out is clearly made homestyle! The chicken fried steak was truly what it’s name was (though a bit dry), the chicken fried chicken was, in my opinion, the better pick. Prices are fair for the portions, and the service is nice and quick! It’s a nice restaurant spot to go to before or after walking around the rest of Wimberley, among the many great restaurants to go to!

Stopped by for a nice lunch. We had a good server who took care of our table promptly and with a smile. We enjoyed a couple appetizers.... including chips with salsa and queso, and fried mushrooms. Both were quite tasty and the chips were a generous portion. Our entrees included the Chicken Fried Chicken plate, a cheeseburger, a bacon lettuce tomato and avocado sandwich, and a grilled tuna melt. All were served fresh and hot and delicious. Desserts included carrot cake, pecan pie, rhubarb pie. Again, quite delicious and generous portions. My cheeseburger , soft drink, and pecan pie totalled $23 including tip. Considering the convenient location on the very touristy square, a nice meal in a pleasant venue. Adult beverages are available. Parking is available but good luck in Wimberley...it's always crowded.

Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!!!! Amazing service and amazing food (and decent portion sizes). Each employee seemed to carry so much pride in the service they provided, unlike some larger restaurant chains. That good ol’ country, down-to-earth feel isn’t something you can find on a menu or tip your way into. If ever life leads me back to Wimberley, I’ll be stopping back by this cafe with an empty stomach and a little more time to spare.
