The food was very good. I really like the mission of support rescue animals. All of the menu items are named after dog breeds, which is cute.
After planning our trip to Winterthur this past weekend I started looking for places in the area to have lunch and discovered Pure Bread Deli right down the road. Hubby and I have a golden retriever that is the center of our universe so finding a place that is not only pet friendly but whose entire menu is named for dogs was super exciting. We got to the restaurant a little before 1 and it was still pretty busy but we managed to score a booth inside and placed our order. The way this place works is you place your order at the counter, they give you a table flag and bring your food out once it is ready while you relax and enjoy the dog videos and guest pet photos on the 2 televisions in the dining area (if you're a dog owner be sure to go to their website to upload your dog's photo, I did just that as soon as we got home). They have so many great menu items to choose from but being a golden mom, I felt obligated to get the Golden Retriever Sandwich - turkey, provolone, sun dried tomatoes and basil pesto on grilled focaccia and it was delicious and since hubby and I always split everything we also ordered a Breeder's Combo (choice of 2 menu items) and got the Santa Fe Chicken Salad and Broccoli & Cheese Soup and to satisfy our sweet tooth I got a Cranberry Orange Muffin with Walnuts - grilled - which I highly recommend (we were recently introduced to the joy of grilled muffins on a recent trip to Maine and I was beyond thrilled to see them offered here). Our entire meal, from start to finish, far exceeded my expectations and I only wish there was a location closer to our home in the Baltimore area. The staff here go above and beyond to ensure that you leave happy and satisfied, the place feels more like a full service restaurant than those that actually are that's for sure. They had some complimentary super cute car magnets throughout the dining area so I definitely scooped up on those. Hubby can't stop talking about the place so looks like we'll be making regular visits to DE from now on.
Just picked up lunch for the office and I can hear everyone praising the quality of the food. Perfection as well as freshest lettuce I ever had. Just saying, it was amazing. Thank you! 🙌🔥
Pure Bread is always a great meal. love supporting a local business. Lobster Bisque was delicious as usual. Fresh bread makes the sandwich pop. friendly service is a always appreciated.
We were in area visiting some of the Dupont museums and stopped here for lunch. We both took advantage of the combo special with a bowl of soup and sandwich. Everything was tasty and the service was friendly and quick. While there we were happy to saw there actually is a location close to our home. Well be sure to check it out.
Stopped in for lunch prior to a visit to Winterthur with our adult children. We were all happy with our sandwich choices. My Irish Setter was particularly good. Our daughter in-law also had the mushroom bisque and declared it yummy. Cute decor, especially if you're a dog lover. We did think it a bit pricey for the serving. These are not the big, overstuffed sandwich you might expect.
An absolute gem of a restaurant in Wilmington, DE. :)
I have been coming here with my family since April 2021, and every experience is better than the last. We love enjoying the Breeder's Combo, which allows for 1/2 soup and 1/2 sandwich (or 1/2 salad).
I try new items each time I go, and already have some go-to favorites! Some sandwiches to definitely check out include the Newfoundland, Irish Setter, and St. Bernard.
If you have room, don't forget to check out the desserts. The pistachio muffin is the best!
Lest I forget...along with the name of the restaurant, PureBread is DOGGO friendly (outside only).
The muffins and bagels tasted great. The coffee wasnt good at all. You can take your business to another level by just bringing a barrista and making lattes
