Cantonese roast duck in Wilmington NC. Not only do they have this on their regular menu, it was delicious. Beef Chow Fun and Xiao Bai Cai was also excellently prepared. Can't wait to go back and try other items. Owners are a friendly bunch, met Joanna and Issac. Met Uncle Lim himself, he's from Malaysia and will take special orders for Malaysian food, can't wait to try some!
This was my first meal with Uncle Lim. I had the $8.89 Everyday Special. You can choose from 20+ dishes. My choice was Chicken with Brown Sauce. It was a spicy choice as well. It had a generous amount of vegetables, tender white meat chicken and pork fried rice. The meal also came with a nice and crispy Egg Roll. To top it off, they have a meal card. Buy 10 $8.89 meals, get one free. Because it's close to my new job, I will probably eat here weekly.
After trying literally 10+ Chinese takeout places in Wilmington/Leland, I've FINALLY found a good one! Tastes just like Chinese takeout back in NY/NJ area. I really don't understand why the reviews for this place aren't better. Do yourself a favor and pick up yourself, food gets soggy when sitting for a long time from DoorDash.... That's my guess as to the other bad reviews. 5 stars!
The best Asian plaza restaurant in Wilmington. If you're vegan, they have a separate grill just for the vegan food, which they can make anything on the menu vegan. We even ordered our vegan Thanksgiving food from them. Awesome!
We have lived in the area for about 3 years and finally tried Uncle Lim's. It was great! The clear soup with mushrooms and green onions is some of the best in town! Chicken mei fun is absolutely delicious! General Tso's is lightly breaded with a sauce that tastes like true ingredients were used - so good!! Teriyaki sauce was different compared to any other I have had, more on the gravy side to me. All in all - I think this will be one of my new favorite spots!
Pleasant surprise to finally find tasty authentic Asian food in the area. The Southeast Asian dishes, which are their advertised specialties, were excellent. Tried a variety of dishes and all were good quality packed full of flavor. Meats used were tender, and noodle dishes had wok hei. People working there were very helpful and most gracious. For those who complained about the food, maybe don’t go to a place specializing in Southeast Asian cuisine and order stock Americanized Chinese kitchen take out. Stick with what they do best because they definitely know what they are doing.
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in all of Wilmington, and we drive over an hour JUST for their vegan options! The Lim family is incredible and so kind... you can tell that they take great pride in their business. Please go in and try their vegan menu - it will not disappoint.
I love this place! I usually get the Malaysian tofu or orange peel tofu. both great. I love their vegetarian options! First night getting firecracker soy protein- it was delicious with lots of fresh vegetables. we also got the rendang beef. Interesting at first glance but flavor was great!
Love the Soy Teriyaki Drumstick! It’s both vegetarian and gluten free (if you have a ton of dietary restrictions like me) They’re super accommodating to the customers, and I highly recommend trying them out!
LOVE THIS PLACE...LOVE THE OWNERS...the family are funny, very attentive, willing to work with your suggestions...very healthy food...actually they are from Singapore and the food is more interesting than routi e Chinese food...they use a lot more Tofu and vegetarian dishes...YUM!
