AUTHENTIC! I’m from Texas and in most of the country, cities north and east of Texas. Mexican food is really TexMex. That being said, in Texas we have both so I know the difference very well. My “go to” meal when I had a long night and I’m feeling it in the morning is Menudo and crispy Tripa tacos.
It is hard to find authentic Mexican food this far from Mexico but I think this is an easy exception to that rule.
There is seating, but I chose to take out. Small language barrier perhaps but definitely worth the culture shock. The food is above and beyond your average taco spot. Be warned the ent
Definitely authentic Mexican food. The salsa wasn't clearly labeled & I would've been better off eating magma. Atmosphere could be better & service was a little slow, even though there weren't many customers there. Food is really really good though & very reasonable prices! Will go back! Just be cau
The place, if I recall it was a bit of a hole in the wall. I went with two other white guys and we were the only white folk in the joint, I knew we were in the right spot. It seemed pretty authentic..the food was great. My friends were hesitant, but glad we ate there.
Los portales is the best place in Wilmington for tacos. I have been to a lot of taquerias but this one takes the cake. Their service is fast, the food is amazing, and I love the outdoor seating. And the horchata is delicious too

My family and friends stopped by here for a quick bite to eat. You enter and order you food before you take a seat. Staff was friendly and the food was amazing!!! I would say this has been the best authentic Mexican food I have ever ate.

we went there this past Saturday because we were craving tacos, very nice atmosphere, you order up at the front and they make your food pretty quickly, the different meats were excellent. I highly recommend this place for great food!!!
