Great atmosphere. Wasnt sure if it was a dog friendly establishment, but upon asking we were able to bring our furry friend with us and they brought a bowl for water for him. Beer selection was amazing and my wife was super happy to have Harp Lager on Tap. My wife had the salmon and was really impressed and I had the shrimp po boy, which was good. What amazed us was our 1.5 yr old sons fried fish on thr childrens menu. It was fried cod and the serving size is what I would expect at some other establishments for an adult meal. Our waiter was very attentive and super friendly. Happy to have found Paddys and really love the Wilmington area.
We've visited Paddy's several times, and never have we been let down. If you're looking for an authentic Irish experience- this is not your place, but the atmosphere is excellent, and the shepherd's pie is quite tasty. Decent beer selection, and the service for us has always been great. I recommend it enthusiastically.
I have visited this restaurant a few times and it has always been a very pleasant, and tasty place to eat. It is located in a small alley between some buildings near the cotton exchange. The location is really cool. The food is served quick, a great assortment of food on the menu is available, and everything tastes good. The food needs a little bit of work to make it perfect, but it's still very good. The waiter was extremely friendly and I will definitely go back and recommend.
Good food and quality. I have never had a bad meal here either. They have the best salads downtown (huge, not just iceburg lettuce, and great prices), their Guiness french onion soup is divine, and I love the atmosphere.
Best French Dip in the world!. Heard about their French Dip and went to give it a try yesterday..wow!! Best I have ever had hands down!!!
Always Tasty. I've never had a bad meal!!!!! The turkey burger is great, a little kick to it but not too much heat. The Mandarin salad with fried shrimp is phenomenal...probably my favorite item on the menu! The fried shrimp is always perfectly cooked and the dressing is delicious.
I cannot rave about the food enough but in addition to amazing food the staff is always super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great too, for some reason I always expect to see some brooding author or perhaps the ghost of Edgar Allan Poe (don't know why him...just has that feel with all the exposed brick)! Of course, the haunted pub crawl does start here....
OMG!!! Fall off the bone ribs fried shrimp, fettucini alfredo and long neck clams. Coldest beer in Wilmington. Really love it.
Awesome French Dip!. If you're a fan of French Dip sandwiches you have got to try Paddy's. The roast beef is tender and fresh sliced. Melted cheese, horseradish sauce, and of course, au jus makes this sandwich one of the best in town. I miss the atmosphere the restaurant used to have back in the late 80's early 90's and it could use updating but overall they have good pub food. Other great items recommended include the mushroom swiss burger and crab cake sandwich.
We don't often leave reviews but in this case we need to. This place is great! The food was awesome, the atmosphere was really nice too. The thing that made this a fantastic end to a fantastic trip was the service. Meaghan was our bartender. The service was fast and she made my wife and I feel like friends. She was super nice to chat with and she is clearly a great bartender and all around, a super nice person. We are glad that we were able to spend a little part of our vacation hanging out with her! Meaghan you made our day!
Very laid back pub. Food was excellent, service great and atmosphere is wonderful. We cannot stop eating the French fries. Very good fish and chips and a ground Angus burger.
We accidentally found this place and are so happy that we did. The atmosphere was really neat and the did was delicious.
Cozy to the z. The atmosphere here is just lovely. Though you may want to bring a small light if sight is an issue for you. Some can consider it a little dark.
I however, love it. Rich woods, and lovely glass cases are a feast for the eyes as the food is for yourself.
Service has always been good and staff both friendly and prompt.
All in all I love this place, have for years, and will for many more.
Try it!
I recommend the shepherds pie 😜
Patio dining in a historic location. We had two different burgers, BBQ bacon and Black and blue, both amazing. The chicken strips were less impressive. Definitely go for the burgers. Nice whiskey and scotch selection. The service was impeccable.
Service is a tad slow only because they have a limited wait staff but they are attentive and awesome! No cup went half full for more than a minute. Orders were brought out hot and fresh. The food is delicious and their is a wonderful selection of sandwiches and entrees. Coffee is extremely good, smells like it just came off the pot even writing this at 2. The prices are mid range for the surrounding area and you get a good amount for the cost. Definitely a recommended stop down town.
My daughter and I went for lunch, the shrimp plate was delicious. The service was great. If you are sensitive, you might see a couple of fun-loving ghosts!
Paddy’s Hollow is awesome!!! The interior is decorated beautifully with the Irish decor. The food is very good. Without absolutely any doubt Paddy’s Hollow is one of the best restaurants in Willmington. Have a great day!
Such an intriguing entrance that just begs you to "come on in". The interior doesn't match the exterior. That's not a bad thing, it's just not what I was expecting. The food was OK, and maybe that's more to do with what we ordered than what the quality is (boneless wings, a kids corn dog, and nachos, all fairly basic items). It was worth the stop, and I'd even try it again and order something that seemed more of their specialty.
Food was amazing! The staff every pleasant. I love how they have deck seating as well as inside. If your ever at the cotton exchange this restaurant is a must try
