Review Savorez - Wilmington

Second time at this small downtown restaurant. Love the food. Fresh, unique flavors. Always leave stuffed and never get around to trying desert. I've tried shrimp and grits at many, many restaurants. Only one place the dish was terrible and I couldn't eat it. Savorez shrimp and grits wasn't my favorite but close to the top

Best tacos in Wilmington and that is an under statement. Most of the time it is difficult to say any restaurant is the “best” in an area because there are so many different types of cuisines BUT I can tell you with out any doubt that this restaurant’s food is the best or equal to what ever is the “best” in Wilmington. The chef’s creativity and understanding of flavors is amazing. It is on another level. The staff are all really friendly and great as well. It is a very small restaurant so you may have a long wait at rush hour but it is worth it. If you time it right you can get in with no wait. There is a small parking lot behind the building and spots on the street. This is a must try if you are visiting or live in the area.

I went for brunch recently and it far exceeded my expectations! Food was delicious, wine/beer options were great, and our server was awesome. I’m gluten free and they have many options for me and the server was familiar with what i can eat. I’ll definitely be back to try their dinner menu!

Savorez is a small restaurant that prides itself as “Local Fare with Latin Flair.” Indeed the flavor was inspired. The 4 of us enjoyed our lunches (pictured) and opted to order two desserts also because the entrees weren’t enough to satisfy the hungry.

Such a fun hidden gem. The restaurant is so unassuming. Great vibe and great food. We were visiting from out of town and decided to give it a try. The brunch special scallop was delicious. Will definitely return if we visit again.

Went today for a late lunch, Nolan was my server and could not have been more helpful. He had great suggestions for food and wine as well as places to check out in the area. I got the flounder tacos and they were generously heaped with enough fish to sample some pieces off the top and still have the perfect amount for a double tortilla taco. I like mine with a little kick so Nolan got me some house made salsa that wouldn’t have been my first choice but I’m glad that I tried it nonetheless. It seems like they have a good wine selection. I finished my meal with their crème brûlée and it hit the spot. My total before tip for wine, meal, and dessert was $38. I’m very glad I checked this place out.

I can’t recommend this place enough. This is my second visit and I’ll definitely be back! The empanadas, guacamole, and pineapple salsa are all amazing. The Vegeta Comida is a perfect mix of beans, coconut rice and banana. Tonight I had the Vegan Rellleno and it was such a flavor bomb and the pepper was perfectly spicy and crispy. Fresh margaritas, duh. Get two.

Wow. Popped in for a quick lunch to a place I had never been, but many friends recommended. Had fabulous scallops with quinoa and a cream squash sauce. Never knew quinoa could be so good and the scallops were lightly sautéed and delicious. And inexpensive to boot. It fills up quickly at lunch and is nest known for its tacos. I'll be back for sure.

Latin Fusion for the win! While the restaurant itself is small it delivers big and bold flavors. And while its nice inside, I would not consider it "upscale"; it seems more geared for the casual diner of fancier flared food. The staff, too, was very attentive. Appetizers, drinks, and entree were all well portioned and spot on with their menu descriptions. Take a chance on the specials! You surely won't be disappointed!

Really solid joint! Stopped in on my way out of town for a quick lunch. Started with the chips and salsa. Great start with really bright flavors especially for this time of year. Finished up with the blackened shrimp tostada with a side of slaw. Righteous stuff. The beans had incredible flavor and the slaw was unlike anything I've had before. Great texture and flavor. Solid service and a great vibe. Nice drink list and some descent tequilas. Solid margarita. Check em out!

Cat is the best waitress, very attentive and even greeted us with our names on the waiting list which immediately felt personable. 10/10 service, 10/10 food. We got lunch and it actually felt like a mini vacation. Best food I’ve had in months, quality service I haven’t had anywhere else. If this lady is working you better request her and tip her well!! Going back ASAP and as frequently as possible.

The food was amazing. We tried several things off the menu and everything was delicious. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Wilmington and I can’t stop raving about it to friends and family. Can’t wait to come back!

Great little Latin Fusion restaurant. Nice bar and best margarita I’ve had in a long time! Our tacos and chip/dip sampler were fresh and delicious! We learned they have a Sunday brunch, and will be coming back to try that.

Sweet potato and Goat Cheese dip was AMAZING! (I know, we were skeptical too...trust me). The tuna entree (can't remember its name) was so delicious, and the vegan relleno was marvelous. We enjoyed everything we ordered!

Hands down best brunch. Have been coming for years when I'm in Wilmington. I dream about the huevos rancheros and there's always something really amazing on special. My review is specific to Sunday brunch: they don't take reservations, a line forms about 15 minutes or so before they open at 10a, it's a small place and can only seat so many people, but get on the list because people were finishing up their meals and leaving within an hour. So be patient! I did take off a star because while we were seated right at 10a.. I noticed several other tables being sat after us and the 3 servers were all going to those other tables before getting to us for drink order (waited 10 minutes) and then no one came back to get our brunch order until 25 minutes later. We genuinely felt forgotten about. It took some time for our drinks but I expected that since there's only 1 bartender and they probably had 25 drinks get put in at once. I'll still go back because I love it but might be better prepared when I go at opening time to order everything when the server does come. Just need to temper expectations.. no big deal.

From start to finish, this place was hands down our absolute favorite ever. We are visiting from out of town but always look for fresh and unique places to eat wherever we go. We ended up sitting at the bar because there was a wait but we loved every minute! Z, our bartender was superb! Food, outstanding. Best we’ve ever had. Period. Be sure to try the BLT arepas as an appetizer and the sweet potato cheesecake dessert. Wow!!! We had their dinner specials- grouper and scallops- they both were like a party in your mouth. The cocktails were divine too. Would recommend this place to anyone!

My first time there was for Brunch 08-05-18.... beautiful simple space , well decorated with inviting colors and outstanding artwork on the walls, Seating is comfy what stood out most was they appeared to have the seating to avail space ratio down solid. Staff was gracious and welcoming. our server Chris was polite and on top of his game.. The Bloody Mary was choice! very flavorful and a good compliment to the foods we picked for brunch... I had a dish called " breakfast of champions" buttermilk fried to perfection chicken breast on top of an arepa all topped with a sunnyside egg and chorizo sausage gravy. Yummmm!!!! portions are on point for the price. i was full but not stuffed all in all very satisfying...also recommend the Sweet potato Cheesecake empanadas <----- AMAZING!!! we will surely be back also looking forward to trying their dinner menu

My fiance took me to dinner last Monday for my B-day and the food was absolutely delicious from beginning to the end.Wonderful experience. We started with some Yuka frites as an appetizers ( they weren't on the menu anymore but the waitress told us they will cook it for us) and they were great along with the homemade sauce. My fiance had the Shrimp N Grits and I had the Quinoa Flounder, both meals were fantastic and a good portion. Flavors just melted in your mouth. For dessert we shared the Coconut Lime Creme Brulee and it was to die. The only thing I will add to this perfect night celebration will be, to improve a little bit the lighting for the evening (sometimes was hard to read the Menu) and maybe add some little decor on the tables, like small candles or some fresh flowers, that will make you feel more welcoming.Waitress and owners were great and caring. We will be back.Thank you for making my b-day special!

What a great spot! I got the Gato Taco which is crispy pork belly pieces and Pork tenderloin. Some of the best I have ever eaten. Staff was awesome as well! It’s a must try spot in the downtown area.

This is the best food that I’ve had in quite some time. Long wait, but worth it. The staff is very attentive. May I suggest the Caliente Tuna? Marvelous!

I did like the appetizers, I had the lobster ceviche and my friend had the blt arapas. Both were good, however the empanadas we had were dry and lacked flavor, the tuna and the chicken both. The service was okay. I did think the appetizers were exceptional but overall it didn’t balance out. I would only consider this restaurant average.

Fantastic place. Food is amazing, even the items I thought would be weird were absolutely wonderful and the owner is a great guy. They have my vote!

The staff was so welcoming and personal. From the minute we walked in the door until we left we had excellent service. The food was amazing! Some of he beat food I have ever had anywhere. The lobster ceviche was out of this world . We had seared tuna tostadas that were even better. My sister and I split the special, trigger fish - delicious! I woke up the next morning thinking about this place and the food. We are going back very soon. Almost do not want to write such a good review because I want to keep this a secret so when Go I can get a table 5+++++++++ review

Absolutely LOVED this place! The entire experience was incredible. A friend called ahead to see if they would take reservations for 7 of us and was told no but we decided to chance it anyway. Didn’t realize how small it was but it’s so cozy. Two of us showed up first and he told us it would be around 30 minutes but was very honest it could be more or less. The bar was full so we asked him for suggestions on where to grab a drink and he pointed us down to flytrap. Great spot! He called us when the table was ready and we walked back down. It was a little longer than 30 minutes but I’m glad because we enjoyed our walk. It is a very small spot so none of us minded the wait. We sat down and were greeted promptly. The selection of margaritas were on point and the menu was so unique! Sweet potato and goat cheese “guacamole” ?? Yes please! Everything was amazing! All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Black bean soup - delicious! Lobster langostine - I could have licked the bowl. I can’t wait to go back and encourage everyone to try it out!

This place is so amazing! The food was cooked perfect and the waiter was so impressing too! He memorized 10 people's drinks, apps, and dinners without writing anything down! This is a must try and I will be going back soon!

If you haven’t been here yet, then you’re missing out. I’ve been here 5 times in the last 2 weeks. Two lunches, two dinners, and finally had Sunday brunch! The food, drinks, chef, and staff are amazing! Go get you some!

We stopped on our last day of vacation. The food was amazing. Lobster ceviche was so good. The dessert omg no words can describe how good they were. Our server Adam was great. Friendly and very funny. We will definitely return on our next trip to the area.

In addition to my own delicious meal (quinoa crusted flounder tacos) I also accidentally ate all the yuca fries from my children’s meals. It was worth it. We will be back. Super attentive service, warm environment and the food was amazing.

We walked over for drinks after a Thalian show and were pleasantly surprised by vegan items on the menu! Drinks turned into dinner and everything was delicious, fresh and colorful. Service was exceptional. For people that never go out, we are already planning our next visit - well done!
