UPDATE: went in for breakfast and the service was much improved. No one is very friendly- they don’t say thank you or good morning but the service was faster than before and the food was amazing. So happy with the food quality. Last visit: My first time in and thankfully I didn't order food. It was still a 35 min wait for an unsweetened tea and a vanilla bean chill. I went in on Sunday at 11:15 and tables were full and no one had food or drinks. That was a red flag but since we only got drinks, we decided to order. I can tell 2 of the 3 front workers were trying really hard. The girls taking orders was hustling along with the girl making coffees. But the young boy was just lost. The girl taking orders was making drinks, cleaning tables, taking water to customers. But zero communication. Witnessing frustrated patrons asking how much longer, and some saying they waited 40 min for food, partial orders while others in the same party waited for theirs. Management needs to give guidance on processes for efficiency. Too much time is wasted figuring out what food goes where, the young boy running out cups of water to tables. He looked very lost and confused. I'm excited to try the food but the service gets a 2. I'll update when I try the food.

Have you ever walked into a cafe and thought to yourself, “This is my home away from home?” Cafe 23:5 has that vibe. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte. I always forget to specify the milk type, but here the barista asks what kind of milk you would like. The staff even made my dog a little pup cup with a dog treat inside. Highly recommend for anyone and everyone to check this cafe out!!

I I used to love this place, UNFORTUNATELY the employees are highly disrespectful. My family and I have visited several times with the expectations of ordering some of the advertised meals in the menu however, THEY NEVER HAVE THOSE MEALS. After several visits with the same answer “sorry we are out or don’t have it today” which is very strange since it’s still in the menu but never have it no matter the time we visit. I politely expressed my dissatisfaction over the same response while trying to order our meals. I ended just ordering food for my child. The employee at the register was apologetic however, she told the other employees about my comment and then they came to stand right in front of me and one of the girls even had the audacity of taking pictures of me while they were all gossiping about my dissatisfaction right in my face. I’m extremely DISAPPOINTED of these employees’ behavior. I was actually about to walk out but my child insisted on eating the meal. As usual we prayed over the food but really hope there are cameras in the kitchen because after such behavior I don’t trust these people to prepare our meals. I hope the owner of this place reads this review. I’m sure you won’t miss our business but this is very unfortunate.
