The Cactus Lounge

I’ve been going to this bar for YEARS I loved this bar and it’s always been fun . The place and atmosphere is 5 stars but because of the waitress that I’ve had problems with for the last couple times I’ve been there I’m leaving a 1 star. Maria was absolutely disrespectful . She saw me and my boyfriend were clearly together and she would not stop coming up to him and touching him . She even stole his cigarette lighter to light her own cigarette . On the clock ? Then she comes up to me and asks if there’s anything she can throw away and I said idk those aren’t my drinks . Then she looked at me like I was crazy and she said “babe I said is THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO THROW AWAY” I said “idk those aren’t my drinks why don’t you just check to see if the beers are empty ?” She proceeds to give me a dirty look and asked if the drink beside me was mine and I said yes I’m drinking it . She then grabs the drink and throws it in the trash . I wasn’t drunk I was perfectly okay and now I just wasted my money on a full drink . After that she comes back up takes my friends cigarette and puts it out and says “thanks so much babe” . She would not leave me alone and continually give me dirty looks . I’ve always loved this bar and the waitresses in it because they have always been respectful and quick with service , but Maria she has made me never want to come back to my once favorite hometown bar.

Always a fun time to be had waitresses are great! Sandy is always friendly and attentive gets our drinks right away! Bands on Friday and Saturday nights are usually very good and play country music. Older crowd earlier until about 12;00 or 1:00 then the younger crowd comes in that’s when most of us 50+ start to leave but the bands stop at 1:00-1:30.
