The restaurant itself is not in the best location. However, once inside you can tell that these are people that care about their patrons. The staff are all very friendly. The owner even brought my nephew back to see the kitchen and gave him some candy! They were very patient with us as we chose what we wanted to order. The food was delicious and all great portions. It’s a nice little pizza joint. It was very busy, so you know that many people agree! Will definitely go back.
We had a meat lover's pizza. Meat toppings were good, but could have used a little more cheese. I would ask for extra cheese next time. I like Tony's for their crust, it's a crispy medium thick, Central Connecticut style. Too many pizzerias copy the thin, brick oven burnt, New Haven style, and there are fewer that serve a thick, bready, Sicilian style.
This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered fries and a pepperoni pizza. The fries were decent, slightly undercooked in my opinion. The pizza had very good sauce, very nice pepperoni, and a disappointing crust. I found it soggy with no body. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 7.7.
First time here...totally worth it! Food was phenomenal!
BIG FIRE! I had a lunch date here and we picked the perf spot! The waitress was awesome in helping us pick food to share. The buffalo wings were so crunchy, the pizza was perf, and the curly fries with bacon and cheese was on the money! It was so good I almost forgot to take picks lml! Definitely recommend and will come again! What a gem!
Love the vibe from this restaurant. It is family owned and the owners are wonderful people. Food is great and delicious! I love the grinders & bacon cheese fries from here.
We ordered Tony's for dinner. As usual the food is amazing, as expected. We got a pepperoni pizza, cheese curly fries, and a hamburger grinder. Delivery time was average for the area and the driver was polite.
This is my go to for a pepperoni pizza, never disappoints.
A+ service and food quality
The food is always consistent. I have used them several times when I had gatherings. They make the pizza the way they make it and it's good. I do have two suggestions for people if you are ordering.
First is they add a lot of sauce to the pizza if you want an average amount of sauce just ask them for less sauce.
Second is they do square cut pizza. If you want a pie triangle cut, you will have to ask them to cut it that way.
Great place- friendly - celebrating 50 years in business. Take out service was fast. Pizza was good but be prepared for more of a Greek style pizza with thick fluffy crust.
The hype is real. Not a huge fan of the food in the area, but this place is above what I expected and with the high reviews, I also had high expectations. Front of the house is also very good in dealing with volume.
This place is on a short list of good to places for me now.
