Smallcakes Cupcakery

I’m not a fan of icing usually but I do love their icing.. as far as the cake goes.. it tastes like a box cake with one of those hacks of just replacing the oil with butter (double it) / water with milk and add an egg. Consistency and taste.. is just like that. Way better to just make your own cake from scratch… which I feel is so weird to say bc these cakes used to be good..

Absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond for me today and I can't thank them enough! Needed 1 gluten free cupcake on short notice and they just so happened to have one! Absolutely love their boaton cream pie, leom drop and birthday cake cupcakes! If you're in Williamsburg Smallcakes is a must try!

I saw all the good reviews and I love a good cupcake. I ordered the chocolate peanut butter and my friend got the coconut. It was late in the evening so there weren't many selections of flavors left. The cake was a little dry and broke into pieces when I went to eat it. The icing was overly sweet. So sweet that I had to take about 3/4 of the icing off to eat the cupcake. The icing just tasted like plain sugar icing. I could not detect much if any peanut butter taste. Rose said her coconut cupcake was good and not too sweet. The cake, however, was a little dry. I assume they were made many hours ago and it was getting close to closing time so the cupcakes were probably sitting all day. I would rate these about the same as the store bakery bought cupcakes. The only difference is you pay $10 for 2 cupcakes and I can get a dozen in the store for less than $10. I like a good buttercream frosting that is slightly sweet. These were like old fashioned sugar frosting, about twice as sweet as a Krispy Kreme glazed. If you like super sweet cupcakes, you would enjoy these. For me, I am more on less sweet and more flavor.

Sabrina was a breeze to work with! I custom ordered 2 dozen cupcakes for a work function, and I was really impressed with the level of customer service and my overall experience. Not only was I able to ask for custom flavor combinations, but Sabrina also helped me choose decorations to match the occasion! The cupcakes turned out beautiful and delicious, and my coworkers loved them. Thank you Smallcakes!
