Review Green Leafe Cafe - Williamsburg

Would not recommend to go if you want to eat. I asked for Bangers and Mash and I asked them not to add the gravy on the mash and I just 4 Bangers. Was not impressed. The drink was good. My mom got the Ruben and Fries and I think everything we got the fries was probably the best thing we ate. While we were there would not go back

We stopped here for a late night meal while on our honeymoon. The wait staff was excellent and got us everything we needed/ordered very quickly. The food and beers were very good! I hope to someday get back to this place!

Ever had a deli sandwich with some Pappy Van Winkle on the side? No? This is your spot. Some of the best sandwiches I've ever had with an outstanding beer and liquor selection. Service was great even when the chaos of late night rolled in.

Went for trivia night. It was busy. Took 30 minutes to get water. Then after another 30 minutes we were told the kitchen is done taking orders for 45 minutes. I don’t blame the servers or kitchen. I blame the incompetent manager and owner who don’t know how to schedule enough people to cover a large event. They’re also not even using the Green Leafe menu but the one from Paul’s Deli which is next door. Don’t waste your time or money here.

We did it. We found the only place in Wburg that's open past 10:30pm for a good time! I would like to thank the staff at the movie theater who told us of its existence. I'm originally from Richmond, now live in NYC, and I've never experienced a larger culture shock in my life than when the waitress at another restaurant told us "Last Call" at 10pm on a Friday night (and the ice cream shop nearby remained open 😂). Bless you, Green Leafe. Keep doing the lord's work.

First, I sat at the bar waiting to be served and did not so much as get acknowledged. I had to leave my seat and walk to the opposite end of the bar to get served. Then, I was finally able to place an order for wings and mozzarella sticks. The wings were served mildly warm and the mozzarella sticks were just cold. I informed the server of the issue and handed the plate of wings back (I ate the mozzarella sticks anyway because I was super hungry). I was told that I could not be refunded because my ticket could not be located in the system and also because I paid with cash. However, they were able to offer a free refill on my dr. Pepper (the wings were $13). After that, another person working that evening was informed of the entire situation and about an hour later the sales ticket had been located in the system and I was finally refunded. I was disappointed with the entire experience. At any point of interaction with the staff my experience could have been salvaged but the staff did not operate with their customer's satisfaction in mind.

This place dosen't have the best food, I had cheese steak and was like eating leather. I asked for no mushrooms 2x and I had them on my sandwich. this place is just good for basic food , hamburgers anything that's basic because there cook dosen't seem to be a good cook, he didn't even season my steak sandwich and there was no salt and pepper on the table either. The server was kind and did a good job on checking back!! This is a truly a college bar, so if want bar food this is your place!!!

Cute place. Nice ambiance. They’re not using their own menu right now which is why we originally came here. We wanted the prime rib sandwich but we settled for a pastrami and a French dip. They’re using the menu of the pace next door called Paul’s deli so check out that menu if you want to know what kind of food to expect. The pastrami and knockwurst sub was good and the French dip sandwich was okay. The fries were inedible and the dip for the French dip sandwich was cold. I don’t think the server was trained for Paul’s menu because she didn’t know what some of the items were. She also didn’t bring silverware and it took a while for her to bring napkins after asking her. But she was one of 2 servers. They were also bartenders. And food runners. There was also what seemed to be a networking event or something going on while we were there so it was pretty busy. There was one person making food in the back. The server told us they’re using the menu for the place next door because it’s the same owner and there’s a labor shortage. There’s not a labor shortage. Pay your employees something they can live off of and maybe people will come work for you and these things wouldn’t happen.

Service was good. It was Sunday and they have small plates from 4pm-7pm. The server was unaware of the small plate, maybe some more study time on the services/menu options by her employer. Overall the server did a good job. Very pleasant. The food is pretty good. We started with the saganaki(flaming cheese) with pita. It always fun to say "O-pa"! My kid gets the Mac n cheese and loved it, she got the small plate portion and it was a lot. The wife had the Greek salad, for most part good, overloaded with onions. I had the prime rib sandwich w/fries, small plate portion was half sandwich and pretty large for small plate. I've had the Texas Reuben and the meatloaf and both were real good. The Reuben by far my favorite so far. I also had the Sunday special buffalo wings and they were Ok. The drinks are really good. The wife had an apple martini and I had the Bloody Mary and they were both excellent. The small plate offer is a great deal and the portions are great for the price.

After the switch in ownership and reopening, this place has made a complete change in quality and atmosphere. Much more open and inviting. The beer selection was great and my burger was amazing. The fries were some of the only I've ever had where I did not need ketchup. Very flavorful. Service was the other part that has drastically changed. No more sitting for 30 minutes or going to get my own menu. There was a hostess and the waitress provided attentive service and good suggestions. We also talked to the owner to express how happy we were with everything, and he seemed very genuine in that he was thankful and that's why he wanted to get this place and not let it fade away. I have always loved Greenleafe and was worried that all the changes would kill that feeling I'd get going there, but it was all around better. I'd advise anyone to go check it out.

I had fried fried fresh oysters they were some of the best l have ever ate, big and cooked to perfection, l also had the fried cod the day before and l can say the same, at happy hour a 16 oz bud lite draft is $2, the fish or oysters that come with frys, cole slaw is $14. Great food and prices. The staff was very friendly and proficient.

Hostess stand at the front door and we stood there for a good while before staff told us to have a seat anywhere you like. Again we waited a while before we were asked for our drink order. We told waitress another couple would joining us. After our friends arrived, again a wait for the drink order. We ordered two appetizers and after a pretty long wait one of the two arrived. After another long wait the main course came out but still no second appetizer. After asking waitress said she would check on it. We all finished our meals when the second appetizer came out. Restaurant is very loud with lots of echo and the music was way to loud for dinner time. Wait staff piled dirty dishes behind our booth with a very loud "crash" every time the dropped them off. Bar and seating area makeover was very nice but that is where it stopped. The mens restroom was disgusting. Urinal broken, toilet leaking and strong, strong smell. Did not want to touch anything and that worked out because I had to dry my hands on my pants because there were no paper towels. Appetizers, burgers and 2 beers worked out to be 2 hours from start to finish. Parking lot behind restaurant is still sketchy with low light and potholes. One or two issues I call it just an unfortunate experience but there are things here that need to be addressed. This place has been open for too long after the remodel to be working out the kinks.

Needed a place to grab a quick drink to take the edge off of my travels this morning and I stumbled into this place. Bartenders Shawna and Jared were pretty cool cats. Wish this place was in San Clemente, Ca near me. Cheers

Second time at Green Leafe. This was disappointing. My plate arrived well after the rest of my party. No explanation and a weak apology for the delay. Fries were cold, not fresh. Drink refills only after asking several times, same with request for condiments and bread ordered with the meal. No comp for delayed meal or spotty service in a nearly empty restaurant. 3 waitstaff working.

We found this place last year on a weekend getaway and loved it so much we came back 2 times that weekend! Yesterday, we took my in-laws here and we all enjoyed ourselves. Everything was delicious, plenty of beer to pick from and our waitress was amazing!

Had a great time with my friends this past Saturday at Green Leaf Cafe & Pub. The food, the atmosphere and staff was phenomenal. We come back again.

Incredible atmosphere! My wife and I were staying at Kings Creek Plantation and were looking for a place with a nice selection of beers. This was it! Great service by the bartenders and the food was awesome too!

Great service! Great atmosphere! Great food, and a Great beer selection! A little too loud, but other than that I highly recommend it!

Most of the drinks and food were good, but our waiter was kind of a jerk. He repeatedly insulted our birthday girl and she had to ask twice for her drink, then when her mojito came, it was more mint leaves than anything else. He came by and just squirted in some more lime juice, but it didn't seem to improve her drink. She said that when she went a previous time, she had problems with the same waiter being cocky then, as well. Love the updates, but this waiter needs to go. Get rid of this guy and I'm sure my future ratings will be much higher.

Our first dining experience in Williamsburg. Ashley waited on us. She was great. We really enjoyed her. The beer and food were great. Got the pot roast on Ashley's recommendation and lived it. Large serving and delish. Would go back in a heartbeat

Our first bartender was very dismissive because her friends were there, but Natalie was wonderful and helped us quickly, efficiently, and was very pleasant to talk with about the tap selection. Natalie had good knowledge of local taps, and was helpful at every step. She was really the saving grace, the food was great, but nothing tops a smiling face. Cheers to Natalie!

Fun little bar! Loved our waiter Mitch! He was hilarious and his personality rocked!

Hadn't been to green leafe since they reopened until Thursday. First thing I noticed when I walked in was that they definately had classed the place up. My date was quite impressed. The bar lighting and decor is top notch. I got the mad and cheese. Filling and large and unbelievably tasty. French fries were quality as well. Glad it's open again!

Bartender poured the Guinness too fast. Ahi tuna salad was overcooked. Make sure server asks how folks want it cooked. Server was totally cool. Griffin I believe.

My husband ALWAYS talks about this place so when we came down for vacation we knew it was a stop. Met a few friends for dinner and first our server was very friendly and helpful, and the food was great! The chicken gyro tacos were SO GOOD!! I just ate the leftovers when we got home!!
