I continue my tour of the numerous Williamsburg Pancake Houses. I enjoyed the Capitol Pancake House. I had the Breakfast Sampler. Eggs were properly cooked at the requested over-easy. Grits were creamy. Sausage, Bacon, and Virginia Ham were all tasty. Most importantly the pancakes are spot on. My only recommendation is they get butter in larger sizes. I had to open about 10 to butter my grits and pancakes. The service was good.

On the plus side, chicken and waffles, and fried catfish were great. However, the home fries. sausage gravy, and corned beef hash were ordinary.

Great place to eat for breakfast or lunch. Met the owner (I’m the guy from Hampton on Sunday) Excellent service and food. Get the French fries! Thank you for being so nice.

Very good food, nice selection of breakfast or lunch, friendly staff, portion size meets the price. They have some stuff you just can't find at other locations. The peanut butter pancakes were a huge hit with the family, it's how I was raised eating pancakes.

The food was pretty good, although their home fried potatoes needed some serious seasoning, and they're kinda dry 😵 Ouellette, perfect size, onions and peppers, fresh and crisp, French toast, perfect! Wife's food was equally as nice. Sweet tea, just about right! The wait time to get in sucked, but it was worth it! We'll be back!

Finally, the family breakfast diner experience is available for the folks that are gluten free! This place is standard fare diner coffee, diner pancakes, waffles, and sides, at diner prices and portions. It's perfect! Excellent location for visitors to Colonial Williamsburg or Busch Gardens. Plan on a little wait during busy seasons or events because everyone loves this place, locals and tourists alike.

This was the best breakfast we have had on our road trip! The place looks a little outdated and a little worn but don’t let that stop you from eating there, it was clean!
The food was outstanding! It was quiet and relaxing. The omelette was fresh, done to perfection and had great flavor! My husband got the pancakes and they were fluffy and melted in your mouth good! My French toast was delicious as well! Went to the Colonial pancake house the next day in Williamsburg and they could not compete with Capital Pancake House! It was fair priced as well and the service was great! I will definitely come back here and would highly recommend!
