We eat breakfast at Shorty’s every time we visit the area (6-8) times per year. It is always FABULOUS! Hot, perfectly prepared according to your wishes. We love Shorty’s and our favorite server “Liz the Legend” so much we stayed an extra day in order to be able to experience their Cruz Friday when they are open continuously from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. with their special catfish fry from 11 a.m. We had the best fried catfish ever! Our platters were enormous with catfish and housemade cocktail and tarter sauces, corn bread, cold slaw, and french fries. The housemade strawberry pie and chocolate cream pies were a perfect conclusion. It was so worth extending our stay!

This place is top notch! My husband and our two kids were in Williamsburg for the weekend ( we are from Richmond) and we decided to stop in for dinner. We were lucky enough to catch their classic car show they have on Fridays during the summer in the parking lot. We didn’t even know about it so it was a real treat. The service was excellent! We were greeted and seated emediatly. The restaurant was about half full (we went around 5:30 pm. Our waitress was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the specials and the area in general (what to see, what to do etc). Our food came out really fast and oh myyyyyy was it amazing!!! I had the half pound burger and fries, my husband had the special which was catfish, cornbread, fries, and slaw. My son had the buffalo chicken wrap and fries, and my daughter had chicken tenders and fries. Everyone was extremely pleased in the quality and quinity of the food. I think our bill was about $46.00 that includes our drinks. Not bad for a family of four to have dinner. Definitely check them out the next time you are in the area. But be sure to check the hours.......they don’t have normal restaurant hours.

We are lucky and live 30 minutes away and would rather take the drive and come to Shorty’s than anywhere close to us. Every meal we have gotten has been wonderful. The Eggs Benedict have to be my favorite and are AMAZING!! The staff is friendly and the service is fast no matter how busy it is!! Love this place!!
Stoped in on a whim. Very friendly and helpful staff. Best grits, biscuits, and cole slaw we have had in many years. Main items also delicious. Highly recommend.

My husband and I are from Philadelphia on vacation. We were told to come here by locals and have everyday for 3 days in a row. The service is fast and friendly. The waitresses are super nice and accommodating. The food is delicious and the prices are great. We love Shorty's and would recommend to anyone. Server was really friendly and the food came out really fast. My husband got a breakfast burrito that was huge and he was really satisfied with it. My daughter loved the French toast and Shorty’s home fires are delicious!

Shorty’s Diner is an awesome place for breakfast. My wife and I were down from NY visiting my daughter who is doing and externship in Williamsburg. The wait staff was extremely attentive and pleasant. Brandy was a great and here recommendation of the blueberry pancakes for my daughter was a glbig hit. We will definitely be coming back at the end of July when we are back to pick her up.

Authentic small town diner feel. Was not that crowded. Service was very fast. Ordered Shorty's sampler and it can easily serve 2 people. The single large pancake a fulfilling.
Holy moly this place is good! The menu is loaded with tasty food options. Maybe not so much for this with dietary restrictions but our server was wonderful in helping us with a very complicated diet. We couldn’t have had a better meal with better service than this! Everyone is smiling! Everyone is happy to help! Couldn’t find a single thing I didn’t like. The pancakes are ginormous and the meat options are all tasty.

What a great place to eat! Food was awesome. Servers were nice and communicated very well with us and every table! Even my daughter who has dietary restrictions was able to find something to eat and absolutely enjoyed it!
This is my first time eating hear and was thoroughly pleased. Will definitely eat here again if I’m in the area!
Call a head as they are normally busy. Town favorite and very pleasant service. Decent portions and great tasting food. Men's bathroom need some attention but overall a great spot for home style breakfast food. Enjoy!

We went there for a late breakfast. We had biscuits and gravy with coffee. The waitress was very attractive and did a great job of seeing to our table. She made sure the coffee cups were refilled. Between the two of us we spent 13.17 not including tip. The food was very good. I can recommend Shorty's if you are ever in Williamsburg, Virginia.
The place was packed and deservedly so. Great diner food at a very good price. Definitely going to get return visits.
Delicious food - FAST - in a 50's diner atmosphere. With plenty of choices on the menu, there is definitely something for everyone. We were surprised by how quickly our food came, and it was exactly as we ordered it. Portion sizes were impressive. I saw pancakes the size of a plate, a big amazing looking burrito. Everything looked good. We decided to see how miserably full we could get by ordering a slice of the homemade coconut cream pie and cherry pie - YUM! The prices are very reasonable. Staff was on point - especially Noelle. She got it all right, kept our drinks full snd was the perfect amount of friendly and attentive. 10/10 recommend. We will definitely be back.
