Original themed restaurant! Staff and server were friendly, quick and professional service! Decor is cool! It’s clean inside and out with plenty of parking! Easy to find! Burgers are good! Hot apple pie with ice cream hit the spot! Good food at a good price!

Loved the food, as this was some great BBQ at a great price. Very clean and “woody” ambiance. They seemed to have 88oz beers on the menu … if you dare! Great service as well. This is THE place to eat before you hit the town for wine tasting! Also, check out the crazy Texas sinks in the bathroom! VictorB

Good place for smoked meat and cold beer. Friendly service round out the trifecta. Being able to sit in a railroad car is a bonus

There is nothing "makeshift" about this restaurant. Every aspect of the place appears to have been well planned and executed perfectly. First the food: Good moist, moderately smoky but not too salty bbq, large portions at a fair price. I had the cornmeal crusted catfish and my wife had a pull porked sandwich. My coleslaw was a little bland and needed some acid to bring out the flavor. The construction incorporated a train car into the design, offered high ceilings with well planned wood being used extensively from floor to ceiling. The minute details were not missed either. The waitstaff sported adorable rhinestone bedazzled uniforms, and Big Tex BBQ even has their own private labeled bottles of white wine. If you find yourself a little hungry while driving on I-10 in southeast Arizona, Big Tex BBQ is well worth the short detour to Willcox.

My wife and I shared the three meat special; ribs, brisket and pulled pork, plus a slice of berry/peach pie for dessert. Delicious!

We drove 100 miles ONE WAY today to eat lunch here after visiting Apple Annies Orchard. We arrived at 1103 AM & we were the 1st & only people there. The smoker outside wasn't fired up & going (RED FLAG). We ordered the SUPER BBQ plate w/ chix, brisket & pulled pork. It only took 5 mins to bring us our order... (RED FLAG). Everything was dried out w/ no juices on the plate. We figured since they were closed on Sun that this was their leftovers from Sat. If this is how they serve BBQ food everyday, they don't know what they are doing. We were sad because we were looking forward to having some fantastic BBQ food here. If anybody has tasted the Santa Maria style BBQ food (tri-tip, ribs, pulled pork over oak wood) out in Santa Barbara Calif.area, than you know what REAL BBQ food is supposed to taste like. We will never go back there & we will give our friends the 411about this place.

Steak was big not to thick, little chewy but good flavor. Chicken sandwich was dry and hard to chew no flavor. Only have beer no mixed drinks
