Jersey Girl Bar And Restaurant

I was thinking of going across the street for a “Wildwood experience” -after my first drink. I was convinced by the Jersey Girl bartender to stay for their food. So soooo glad I listened! The blackened shrimp tacos were so delicious!! Only complaint is that he didn’t convince me to order 3 instead of 2. Drinks, food and service are a 10 out of 10. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the mid September breeze blowing through the open windows and patio area. If you can’t tell by now…I’m happy!

Pros: Food was fresh and delicious. The Shrimp wrapped in Prosciutto app was ridiculously good. The Watermelon/Feta salad was possibly one of the best summer salads I’ve ever had. Meatballs were HUGE and full of flavor. Service was quick, and very friendly. Prices were fair. We sat on the patio out front and loved the atmosphere. Cons: None. Wish we made it back for the Man-Mosa at Brunch. Next time. Verdict: We should’ve went here every night. Will definitely be back.

Had dinner here the other night. The restaurant has a great vibe, a central location and indoor and outdoor dining options. I wanted to give 5 stars but am only giving 4 for a few reasons. We ordered calamari as a starter. While the serving was appropriately sized, it wasn't fried very well. The texture was too mushy even for a flash fry method. I ordered a glass wine with my meal and for $12/glass the wine poor was on the light side. My salad, while delicious, had waaayyy to many chickpeas and would have benefited from more bacon and avocado...especially since it was an entree salad. I also thought the $6.50 for blackened chicken was a bit much but I'm glad I added it since the salad was light on bacon, egg and avocado. We would return again but for a $120+ dinner for 4, I just couldn't give 5 stars. Maybe next time?!?!
