Great little spot. Glad we stopped. If you want some good, old-fashioned, homemade chicken fried steak this is one of the few places you’re gonna be able to find it. Service was great and fast. Don’t let the wait out front or the size of the restaurant fool ya, They straight up get on it.

Well, driving around Wickenburg starving, lol weighing our options of whose open & whose closed this hot September Saturday. After having tried Spurs Cafe a few years back only to be disappointed, feeling adventurous, we opted to give it a shot. New owners, New menu and BAM!!!! Totally new fabulous experience!!!! 😀 The service was top-notch, atmosphere was filled with joy, calm, serene small town feel about it. Although they were at the end of their busy Saturday shift, the Staff were singing & smiling, welcoming and you could just tell they love working there. It was simply so great to be in this moment on this beautiful day with such wonderful people. Life can be heavy at times and when you step into a place that can lift your spirits its simply magical. Oh, back to the food...our sodas came out chock full of ice with a straw, we put in our order. I opted for the special..smiling proudly & excited to finally get to try these so called, Amazing Biscuits & Gravy, that some of the town foodies have ben boasting about on Facebook. Eggs 🥚 & Sausage rounded out my special order. I ordered my eggs over easy, which in my opinion is the only way to eat a fried egg...I can't even tell you how many non over easy eggs I have eaten through the year's in some of the most popular of restaurants. The egg is undoubtedly the most simplest and fickle items to master for each chef, they can get away from you fast on a hot Griddle in a busy kitchen. Jimmy ordered the burger breakfast bowl..I thought who is this man sitting in front of me. He always orders the chicken fried steak everywhere we go, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner that's always his go to especially when he is starving.
Food arrived in a timely manner, each dish happily placed in front of us at the same time. I dove into that Biscuits and gravy and to my amazement and delight, the reviews were 1000% right. I couldn't put my fork down, I literally forgot about my eggs & Sausage..insisted Jimmy give them a try..which was a hard decision, lol I really didn't want to share them at this point, he agreed they were phenomenal. Back to his burger breakfast bowl he went, thankfully, ha ha. My eggs were cooked perfectly, the sausage was equally as good. Tender and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside.
Jimmy's Burger breakfast bowl was huge and definitely Cowboy filling. He being a good eater couldn't even finish it. It was seasoned to perfection and I highly recommended 👌, but those Biscuits & Gravy were to die for. The gravy was thick and full of flavor seasoned perfectly 🥰 the Biscuits were tall & tender with a hint of sweetness to them which balanced out the entire dish. It joyfully danced across my palate and brought me right back to my Grandma's farm in Indiana for Sunday Supper after church. Thank you to the Spurs Chef 👨🍳 & owners & staff for making this little cafe such a welcoming gem in this quaint western town we have grown to live so much.
The bathroom 🚻 was very clean through the glass door at the back of the dining room down the long hallway decorated with western decor and there is a hook for your purse 👛
We had a wonderful experience at the Spurs cafe. The portions were huge and we ordered off of the early bird menu. The service was fast and friendly , the food was delicious, and the coffee was hot and it kept coming. If you’re driving thru or taking a day trip to Wickenburg, the Spurs Cafe is a great place to stop, relax and grab a bite to eat. It’s kind of small inside so there could be a wait but they get the food out quickly. I also enjoyed the western theme inside..🥰
This was one delicious breakfast. If you ever find yourself in Wickenburg, you gotta make it a point to stop here and have a bite to eat. This place is small and cozy. Every seat was filled waiting for this food! We had an excellent waitress, Karen Lee. She was so gracious!
My husband had the French toast with sausage link and eggs. I had oatmeal and toast. Other than my toast being burnt a bit on the edges and so much butter the toasts were soggy, the food was really good only to be matched by the excellent service. And the prices were great too.
Having enjoyed Rancho Bar 7 across the street the previous night, Spurs Cafe is another outstanding restaurant in Wickenburg. There must be something special in the water here in town. Breakfast was outstanding; I "built" my own burrito and along with the spicy home fries and coffee, everything was excellent. The menu had so many great options that it took me a bit to decide. Although I had to wait for a table to open up, service was prompt and courteous. Highly recommended!
On a 5 hour road trip. Picked this place for their reviews and to support the local economy. Did NOT disappoint! Server was wonderful. Food was literally steaming hot and delicious! Asked for pickles on my western chicken sandwich and they did not skimp on adding the pickles! Sodas came in the bottle which was great since we could easily take them with us back onto the road. If you are in Wickenburg it is worth the stop and easy to get to from the Highway.
Spurs Cafe is a great stop! If you live locally, you are fortunate! I came up from the valley on my way to Oatman. Great food, fast friendly service, and nice atmosphere! This will be one of my regular stops when riding through Wickenburg!
I highly recommend this cafe! If you like the "small town", friendly vibe, with amazing food, look no further. My husband and I both had the Eggs Benedict. I had the "Spurs Benedict" and my husband had the "Country Benedict". Both are not the traditional style. But we both love Eggs Benedict and are always looking to find new variations. Mine had a small hint of heat with the green chilies. But some people might not taste any at all, depending on your level of spice tolerance. Hubby got the spicy potatoes and he thought they had a good heat level to them as well. Mine were the home style potatoes. I didn't eat much of them, only because the eggs Benedict was super filling with home made big biscuits. We will definitely be back.

A rustic atmosphere that takes you back to the olde Western times, from the old rodeo cowboy pictures displayed on the walls to the 3d image of beautiful horses. The service was warming and welcoming from the smiles and soft voice of the hostess to the humorous and soothing waitress who took our order. The course ordered was the fried chicken steak breakfast meal with smothered biscuits with gravy. My first time trying out this restaurant and I must say it's definitely a place to stop at for a hot cooked, delicious meal with a 1900 century type of vibe. Come on in with your spurs for an awesome deal!!!
