This was my friend's first time coming to a Cracker Barrel, and it was a wonderful experience! The food was great 😋 The biscuits were golden and fresh, the gravy was creamy and delicious, those apples were tender and not too sticky. Put a little butter and sugar in those grits and call it a day. The silverware was delivered in a fancy napkin basket which I never saw at a northern cracker barrel before it was very charming.
Our hostess was a young woman, very friendly and accommodating. The gift shop is small and packed full of really beautiful keepsakes, decorations, and vintage treats. We enjoyed the fast service and the hot meal! She will definitely be bringing her family back there sometime.
Great way to start the day!! Take out is easy and only a few minutes til ready when you're on the go, like my monthly staff meetings which start an hour earlier than normal. Otherwise, we love to dine in. The atmosphere is welcoming, love the large fireplace, and the gift shop offers a variety of items that I can't live without.
Great place for breakfast. The biscuits are light and fluffy, but the gravy is a bit too peppery for my taste. The eggs and grits are done just right. Go early on Sunday mornings. They get packed as the day progresses. Blue was a fantastic waitress - bright, cheery, and attentive.
I ordered mama's French toast breakfast and it came with 2 eggs sausage or bacon. Had the sausage. It was very good and very filling!!! My husband had the meatloaf special with Mac & Cheese, mashed potatoes and veggies! He loved it !!!! My step daughter had the grilled chicken tenders with veggies and mashed potatoes. We all loved our meals and our server was good.
