Loved the flavor and portion of the small chicken taco salad. Will go there again.
Favorite place to eat in Wichita, my family and I are there every week. Great food, great atmosphere, even better people.
It was late and we were hungry. My wife and tried this place. Some friends of ours recommend it. We are not from Wichita. We were skeptic at first. It was dark and not knowing the place made us wonder. But hunger took over and we were glad it did. The staff was super nice. Everyone was friendly and were wanted to talk to you. The was incredible. My wife had some macaroni and cheese, I had the California Burger 🍔 😋 and some nachos. We took some back to the hotel because the portions we huge. We will definitely go back and hopefully they will have t-shirt. They had hoodies but no t-shirt.
I absolutely love this place. The vibe here is pretty awesome....but the food could be better and not overpriced. I had my first date here with the woman I love and when we come here I am reminded of all the magic and sparks. I hope this place will last for many many many generations.
The food was tasty, especially the guacamole. I also enjoyed the carne asada tacos. The margarita was ok. However, the wait for food was pretty long because it was busy. I do recommend this restaurant for some authentic Mexican food, just not at 6pm on a Friday night.
My husband, son, and I were in Wichita, staying in Old Town, for 3 nights, and 2 of those nights we ate at Playa Azul because it was so good the first night! We were there in the middle of the week, so it wasn't crowded at all. The service both nights was wonderful. I ordered the same thing both nights - the quesadilla deluxe. Delicious both times. I also enjoyed their house margaritas. My husband had the burrito especial one night and carne asada tacos the second, and he said both were delightful. He also had their micheladas and said they were great. Our son stuck with his usual - cheeseburger with french fries - and he said they were some of the best fries he's ever had. I snuck a few, and I agree! If we're back in Old Town, we'll be back to Playa Azul.
Food was alright. Horchata was not authentic. It tasted like instant powdered horchata and that was disappointing. Salsa didn’t have much flavor just tasted like tomato, queso was watery but somehow still tasty. Carnitas are good and so were the beans
