Sweet Basil is so popular that sometimes the owner really packs the customers in to try to accommodate their patrons. The prices are very reasonable and if you choose the Buffet Bar you can't go wrong with anything included on the bar. The food is very tasty and the service we have found to excellent. My wife loves their Cheesecake. Great place to take your special someone if you want to have a great meal without braking the bank. We give the restaurant two thumbs up!
It's a hidden gem. I have only tried their lunch buffet so far but as far as that goes it was great. Dont expect some big buffet tables it's just a simple salad bar with a 4 foot heating area for lunch dishes and small counter space for dessert. The service was great and the quality of food was awesome and filling. I actually ate to much to try the dessert but the cheesecake looked good. A little more than I like to pay for an everyday lunch but I will visit again.
Sweet Basil's lunch buffet is a hidden gem in Wichita. They offer a nice salad bar, fresh lasagna, chicken wings, chicken teriyaki, rice, veggies, and a few other delicious options daily. The food is always hit and fresh and never taste like it's been sitting on a buffet for long. The ambiance is nice and works great for informal small lunch gatherings or discussion with a friend. The staff are always friendly and very attentive to the customers. I've been going for years and never had a bad experience.
I have always enjoyed coming here for lunch. The buffet is great and the service is great. You cannot overate customer service, it makes all the difference in a good restaurant and a great one. The Manager needs to be cloned and placed in several other dining places in Wichita. Always clean. Never had dinner here but I am gonna change that.
Wait staff was friendly, courteous and very prompt. I ordered an Italian sausage, fettuccine dish with green peppers and mushrooms . It was very well prepared and very delicious. My wife ordered the stuffed manicotti. She very much enjoyed it. The ONLY thing I thought was kind of CHEESY and not in a tasty way was the garlic bread. I'm just not a big fan of the Texas toast garlic bread when I go out to a nicer restaurant. I make it often enough at home. I thought the atmosphere was very relaxing as well.
The food and service are wonderful. Atmosphere is nice. The buffet is good but small and a little awkward and crowded to get through especially if they are busy. Food runs out quickly but they do try to keep it replenished in a timely way.
