This is a good solid Thai place. The flavors are well-balanced and authentic. We enjoyed pad phing king and the Thai medley. The service was efficient and friendly.
I got the raw spring rolls and mushroom/fried tofu plate. Everything was pretty good; the spring rolls were out of this world, though. I highly recommend them.
Yes and No. This is probably my 10th time coming here and I love it. Service is always great and food is always fantastic. My only complaint is that I hear "We're Out Of That" far too often. I loved both the crispy duck and stuffed wings but although they still serve it, I have to apparently call ahead to see if they can have it prepared for me when I come in the next day? What if I'm not feeling duck tomorrow? Theyre menu is also a little out dated. Somethings on the menu are items they no longer sell such as the honey glazed jumbo shrimp. Items such as fried mussels, crispy duck, and stuffed wings are a 50/50. Sometimes they have it, sometimes they don't. I'd love it if they could just keep it in stock so that when I'm in the mood for it I can just come right on in instead of doing call aheads. I'm probably gonna have to search for a new crispy duck place if I'm really in the mood for it. My waitress however made up for the no duck by suggesting me the amazing seafood volcano. It was great and now considered a favorite of mine.
So the final break down:
Pros:
-great food
-great service
Cons:
-inconsistent menu
There is one restaurant I've always meant to write a review on but have never got around to: Thai Tradition. Thai Tradition is located in Carriage Parkway at 650 N Carriage Parkway Ste 120. It's close by Edgemoor and Central. If you are familiar with where the Taco Bell is off of Central or for those who have lived here longer, the Blockbuster Video, it's right down the street from there; tucked away north of those buildings by the old Kobe Steakhouse. I've been going to Thai Tradition for about a decade now. Oddly enough, the very first time I went here I felt the place was overrated. Through the years, I've come to really love their food. It's amazing how taste buds can evolve through the years. This is actually a restaurant I've been asked about many times in the past. I'll get the text that go, "Hey I'm at Thai Tradition, what should I get?", "Any good Thai Food in Wichita?", or "Do you want to go grab a drink?" to which I'll respond, "how about let's go to Thai Tradition." In the next installment of the blog feature, “ Must Try Menu Item ”, we are going to touch upon Thai Tradition. It's for those who like to try out new restaurants and want to have your choice made for you.
Best Thai food I've had since california. Don't go anywhere else
Best place for Thai food in SC Kansas!. Great place in town for Pad Thai and Tom Yum Soup cravings!
One of my favorite restaurants. Every time I go there, its always packed! &I can see why. They have exceptional food for fair prices and service is great. Nothing I can really complain about except maybe a remodel with furniture. Its a little outdated but I can't complain. I will definitely be back!
Pretty Reliable. We've been here at least a half-dozen times or so, and it's been a pretty consistent experience. I seem to have gotten stuck on their Phad Prig Kring--the green beans and beef--and it's one of my favorite dishes around. I think they also do a nice job with duck here.
There has only been once or twice where the waitstaff is not attentive. That's a bit bad for me seeing as I am eating spicy food with nothing to drink.
I have noticed that the level of spiciness seems to depend on whose in the kitchen (or maybe just their peppers?), but that's really not much of an issue for me.
Great food and service. Papaya salid is hot as usual. I must add that I eat Thai food at least once a week in a different town/ city.
I have been to many Thai restaurants and I must say that Thai Tradition is a top 5 contender I've had across the country. Delicious, simple, Thai food with an atmosphere that opens your mind to a calming dining experience.
