We went here as part of our burger joint challenge. Overall, I would rate this a fine burger joint. the burger was huge, price point was good. Service was very good. Seating and parking are limited. Fortunately my group was fairly organized that day so we got there a little early. Ty's didn't take any prizes in our challenge, but it a quality place to grab lunch. Good burger. Sides were good. service was very good. This place is worth trying out for yourself.
If you've read my other reviews you'll see that I don't give out five stars too often. This place deserves it. Great food, very happy helpful staff and the place just has a pleasant feel to it. You feel more like you walked into your own home and were greeted by friends. Lots of chain owned restaurants try to make this happen, this place just naturally does it. Had to wait awhile for my meal but it was worth it. The sign outside clearly states they're not "fast food". The burger they brought me reminded me of a Freddy's hamburger except way better. The meat was better tasting and the burger was complimented and balanced by its condiments, not fighting them. It makes me think Freddy stole the recipe from this place to start his own burger chain but never quite perfected it. You can tell this place has been making burgers since the 50's and they really know what they're doing. I'm a huge fan of locally owned small restaurants like this that are all about making great food.
This place is a time capsule good ol' fashioned burger joint! I mean that with the utmost respect! I have been eating here 20 + years and all though owners change on occasion the food has remained closely the same. This place is a top burger favorite!
FANTASTIC. This is, by far, my favorite place to get a burger in Wichita! The service, people, food, and atmosphere are all fantastic! I suggest the jalapeño burger, fries, fried mushrooms, tuna melt, geez...I could go on and on. Just check it out. You WONT be disappointed!
Best Dive burgers in town. Just go and see.... but don't wear a white shirt... the air inside is blue from the grease frier going all day

WOW!. I have tried all the places in the downtown and Delano area and Ty's ( not Tj's) is THE BEST hands down. I go for the food and the service but also the Diner; its just a cool place to eat. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.
Great Food. My father has been a fan of Ty's for 20 years so I thought it was time to give it a try. I was glad I did! The food and the service lived up to the reputation of being Wichitas best burger. The fries are the best I have had. Cant wait to have another.
Delicious burgers but U def leave the place reeking of grease due to the open kitchen
