Best Pho in Wichita. Pho is all about the broth and My Tho sets the bar here! In fact, they set the bar so high that after eating pho here, it's difficult to enjoy a bowl of pho from anywhere else! There are many establishments that serve pho much closer to where I live, but I will make the drive across town any day to savor this delicious dish. Well done, My Tho, well done!
One of the Two Best Pho Restaurants in Town. Between My Tho and Pho Hien, these are the two best Pho restaurants in town. What sets My Tho apart from Pho Hien though is their service and friendliness. The gentlemen here are very nice and always positive and upbeat. Always a great experience with great food at My Tho.
Email This BlogThis! Share to Twitter Share to Facebook Share to Pinterest If I could only choose one meal to eat for the rest of my life, I'd probably lean heavily towards Phở. Phở pronounced (fuh, as in it rhymes with duh) is a Vietnamese noodle soup, usually served with beef or chicken. The soup is a broth that includes rice noodles and can be served with Vietnamese basil, onions, lime, and bean sprouts. In some cases, the broth is boiling hot and the noodles are just thrown in along with the meat and it's cooked in there on the spot. Phở is Vietnamese for "Holy Cow this is fricken good" but do not quote me on that. I was raised on Phở most of my life. I don't remember loving it as a kid. I think I just took it for granted since either my mother or my aunt made it all the time. It wasn't until after I moved out that I began to truly appreciate its greatness. Wichita has a pretty large Vietnamese base so it's no wonder that Phở has its fans here in the city. Given my qualifications and years of experience in Phở, I figured I have earned myself a PhD in Phở. So the past two weeks, it was my goal to find the best Phở on the northeast side of Wichita including downtown. It was my intention to only choose this area because I honestly haven't heard of many good Phở restaurants anywhere else in Wichita plus if it was that good, I think I may have heard it of it by now. IF there happens to be a better Phở restaurant outside of this area I set, I'll definitely go check it out. All of these places are located north of Kellogg and eat of Broadway. It was my intention to stop by each of these places within a 14 day span so I had it all fresh in my mind what I liked most. Plus to be honest with everybody, the past 14 day my mother has been out of town so the "Free Stop By The Rents For Phở" was not possible. I've tried to cook it myself and it just doesn't taste the same so with her out of town and me craving it like a pregnant woman, things kind of worked out that I could ea
The best Pho in town hands down. The broth seriously has crack in it! Since the new rebuild I've made it a priority to go there every Thursday during lunch time to satisfy my cravings!
LOVE this PLACE!. I have made it a priority to find the best pho places in Wichita. Nothing rivals my tho and I ALWAYS get cravings weekly.
I never taint my broth with sriracha & hoisin sauce so I know good pho broth when I taste it.
I love their pho. Their broth is succulent and is the ULTIMATE hangover cure. I can pour this on wounds and they magically heal!
If youre not a fan of pho, try the "mi kho".
MMMMM!!!. My daughter and I have frequented another Pho restaurant in town, and we decided to try My Tho for a change. Are we glad we did. The broth was nicely spiced and hot. We had an order of bread that was fresh and crisp. It was darned good. My daughter and I may frequent this a lot more and she might come when she has a break from some of her clients for lunch.
The only down side is that we ordered the rare steak and what we got was FAR from what is described on the menu. The steak was overdone and tough.
3 time a week! :/. I eat at this place probably way too often. I will always go here first above saigon when i'm in the downtown area, it never disappoints. best pho I've had in Wichita and don't forget to order the buttered bread too!
Best restaurant in Wichita. I have been in the restaurant industry my whole life, as my father and grandfather were, hands down best restaurant in town. Family owned family run mother and father make all dishes, sons run the service. Only has soup, but that is the beauty, they do it perfectly!
Wow!. Just had our first meal here. There will be MANY more. Thanks to the reviewers on Urbanspoon. We had driven by the restaurant many times, never thought to stop in. As mentioned, the bread is out of this world fantastic. We shared a Bahn Mi sandwich to start, then had the Beef Stew with noodles (both rice and egg noodles). As recommended, we ordered an extra piece of the wonderful bread and used it to collect the remaining broth. Perfect meal on a dreary late spring day. The broth had an outstanding deep flavor. The guys working today were extremely helpful. Great pot of tea, too. We'll be back. Thanks again, Urbanspoon reviewers, for introducing us to a home town gem!
PHO. THE best in the country!!! Eat it 3 times a week! YUM!!
