Excellent food ....fantastic server...definitely a place to come to. Expensive but worth it!!
Quality, quality, quality. We have great experiences each and every time we visit Chester's. It has become an annual tradition to have desert and Prosecco on the beautiful patio at Chester's for our anniversary. The food is exceptional quality with some of the best beef I have had anywhere. Is it cheap? No. But do you really expect top notch food and service on the cheap? The atmosphere is upscale, but relaxed with elegance everywhere you look. The menu is full of great items with incredible flavor.

Driving through and stopped to eat. Staff was incredibly nice and attentive! Steak was perfectly cooked, potatoes yummy, calamari crispy and seasoned, corn delicious, creme brulee pie amazing! They even gave my young daughter a bowl of strawberries. Wine selection was also fabulous. Might go back to Wichita just to eat there again.
Loved the service. The food was excellent. Had small salid, yukon patatoes and filet. Great meal.
Love this place!. Since it opened, we've gone to Chester's as a couple for "date night" a few times a year, and I go for business dinners on occasion as well.
The menu is good, but I usually always order something off their nightly specials. They typically have an appetizer special and both a fish and meat entree special.
For appetizers, I do not care for their calamari...it kind of tastes like Bonefish's bang-bang shrimp which I think is a little rich. We do love appetizers, so although we usually order one, their bread basket with hummus is plenty to whet your appetite.
We normally get the spinach salad and split it...the dressing is delish and the bacon on it is just enough for that all important "bacon fix".
I think the steaks served at Chesters are the best in Wichita. They come out hot and perfectly seasoned. You can tell you are eating a quality cut of meat from a chef that knows his way around a steak. I do not, however, care for any of the sauces they offer you at the table. I'm all for oscar-style from time to time, but please don't offer me anything from a bottle to put on my meat :-)
Their fish offerings are quite good. They only time I deviate from ordering a steak is when they have diver scallops on special. I will sneak a bite from others at our table...the fish always tastes fresh and cooked expertly.
For a party of two, we usually end up with a bill around $150--including a 1-2 drinks for each of us and either a shared appetizer or dessert. Its well worth it a couple of times a year. The atmosphere of Chesters and the knowledge and helpfulness of their waitstaff make it a pleasure to spend a nice evening there.
Wonderful. I am sad to see bad reviews on Chesters, because for Wichita freaking Kansas, this place is amazing! The bread is good, the service was good, the crab cake was awesome for an appetizer, the sides were awesome, dessert was amazing, and the steaks were pretty dang good. I personally am not a fan of the "oak" flavor, but the quality of the beef was great. I highly recommend the seafood or the king crab mac and cheese. Can't wait to go back!
My absolute favorite resteraunt, the best filet and crab legs in town!! Wish price was better, but food is amazing!
Never a bad meal. I've been here at least 20 times since it opened and never had a bad experience or meal. Owing to the chef's background, I prefer to eat seafood here. The steaks are good, but the fish is always excellent. The waitrons have always been superb. The wine list is the best in Kansas.
I really miss sitting at Chester's comfortable bar, sipping on Balvenie and enjoying the creme brûlée. Wait staff and bartenders are always super courteous and cheerful. I always feel very welcomed here. The patio is nice for conversation and wine. I tend to get the special and it's well worth the money every time. Chesters also carries my favorite ales like the Estrella so I'm set for all my moods at this place.
Lamb Ragu!. The Lamb Ragu is fantastic!
