I have been here several times with my family. We always enjoy it! Good food. Love the muffaletta sandwich and ordering beignets for a treat. It is family friendly, warm and welcoming environment. The proprietor, Richard, often comes around to chat...and, he performs, too with whomever is the invited performer, on spoons, rhythm, harmonica, guitar.
Great food! Fun atmosphere! Fabulous music! We will definitely be back. Nice surprise to find good cajun food in Tennessee! I highly recommend the crawfish pie!
Great place to eat!. We stopped in at Richards for brunch on Sunday. The gumbo is delicious and so is the shrimp Po boy. The staff was so nice, very helpful and very personable. We will definitely be back, hopefully for the live music!
First visit, well liked.. Our first visit: we showed up to watch the live music and were not sure what to expect. I tried the ham and cheese Po'boy with fried okra and she got the burger with fried potatoes.
The food was exceptional and done to both of our satisfactions. a good first visit!
Googled "restaurans nearby" and found Ri'chards. Great neighborhood place. Just what we like to find when traveling. Good food. Good music. Nice people.
We have eaten here a few times now. The food is generally quite good and seems to have gotten better. I personally find the music far too loud for such a small space & the bands we have heard so far are rather hit or miss, mostly miss, but Nashville is a musical crapshoot where I always seem to lose. Wish they had a better hot sauce selection or the food could be spicier, beer selection is ok as Sweetwater brews go well with the food.
Birthday celebration. Very refreshing ambiance for my first time dining there. The staff was most delightful, even met Richard, himself. The food was nothing but great, and attractive!...my birthday guest was presented a flaming, bananas-foster dessert that was not expected. I am new to the laid-back community, and think Ri'chard's brings charm here, and will certainly return. I see "gator-bites" in the near future. Yumm! Kudos, you guys. I wish you couild purchase some of the Mardi Gra posters displayed in the restaurant to remember the fun experience.
This is one of those unique, hole in the wall places where song writers go to sharpen their pencils. We are from KC and were looking for a substitute for the Blue Bird (since it was impossible to get in) and this ended up being a better experience. Wonderful welcoming staff, GREAT food with authentic Cajun dishes, yummy. Definitely worth the fifteen minute trip.
Awesomeness in a bowl!. I've been to this place no less than 50 times and it's a wonderful experience every time! The food is always delicious, always great live entertainment and all of the staff are so friendly and fun! Even on a busy Saturday night when there's not even a place to stand, they make sure you have the best experience possible!!
Fab time. Found out about this place on local cable access show, looked like a cool place to eat. I have to say it didn't disappoint, great music, good food and a fantastic staff. Will make the 1 1/2 hour drive to eat here again. Come hungry, no Jenny Craig portions served here ;)
