Wasabi Sushi Bar

The sushi was not that great. I got the New York roll with smoked salmon. It only had a few very small pieces of fish, It was warm. I also got the mussles, about half of the shells where empty. They come in a very bland broth. The Naan bread that comes with it was amazing. The warm sake was very good. The waitresses where very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing.

10/8/21 Recommend? Yes and no. If you're looking for spectacular vegan options then no, this place isn't for you. If you're just looking for something to dine on because well... we all need food? Or all of your dinner friends wants sushi? Yes, please come right on in. I got the veggie spring rolls and the veggie bento box. The waittress was super nice and gave me a peanut sauce for the spring rolls instead of the regular sauce isn't vegan. The spring rolls were nice. Refreshing ingredients. I found the rice in the veggie maki roll was a bit dry, but other than that good serving of veggies in the roll. I personally didn't care for the seasoned tofu or the sauteed veggies, but that's really a personal thing then a they didn't do a good job thing.

wish i could give this 0 stars. the food took almost an hour to get out and was sitting for 20 minutes with our server no where in sight. the two sushi rolls were flavorless with the crab meat hard to chew. paid $60 for a horrible experience. called the restaurant and talked to the manager and was told that our server, kelly, was an amazing server and was told all our complaints were not valid and could not do anything about our bad experience since she didn’t appreciate our feedback and reviews. horrible place with horrible food and horrible people.

Wasabi is a cute, kitchy little sushi restaurant in the middle of downtown Whitefish, Montana. Being small, reservations are recommended. It is colorfully decorated, and we especially enjoyed the Godzilla dolls on top of the cabinets! We received a friendly greetings at the door, and were shown to our table which was thoughtfully decorated with confetti for our birthday celebration. It was a bit of a let down, however, that the server never acknowledged our special occasion (call me sensitive!). The starter of Peanut Wasabi Noodles was delicious. There are an abundance of Sushi Rolls from which to choose (including Vegan friendly options), as well as many non-sushi options. The Rolls were typically $12-$20 dollars. The Goonie Roll was fantastic and flavorful! I will crave this roll in the future! The Ultimate Temptress Roll, however, was a definite disappointment. Despite it's quality seafood ingredients, it was very bland. It desperately needed something in the roll to enhance the other ingredients, as well as a sauce of some sort to boost its flavor profile. We would definitely enjoy a return visit to this bright little establishment and enjoy a culinary journey through more of their menu options!
