I was invited to the Powerhouse Eatery for a birthday party and I was very impressed with the food here! We had the seared scallops for appetizer and that was out of this world delicious! The scallops were big and fresh and the sauce is finger-licking good! I scooped it all up with the warm, freshly-baked bread! For the entree, I had the Seafood salad, it was the best seafood salad I've eaten! And I traveled and ate at a lot of places! The lump crab meat was big, sweet and very fresh! The shrimp and scallops were also big and delicious! The salad was fresh and the dressing was very good! I highly recommend it. My husband had the sirloin steak and that was cooked just perfect, juicy and tender!
My husband and I stopped for lunch after a hike at Hickory Run. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Our compliments to the chef and our server Gabby. The meal was delicious and the service personal. Loved that our server knew the local history. She was intelligent and beautiful.
My boyfriend and I dined here tonight. Upon entering, we were greeted with warm and professional seating hospitality. When entering the dining area, we noticed it was very clean, well-decorated, and very accommodating- with seating that allows for open conversation without being intrusive. The food preparation and plating was some of the very best, especially for this area. This restaurant is a hidden gem nestled in White Haven. All of our dishes were exemplary, and when complicated with a dish that we didn’t enjoy, our server Michael did everything and anything to accommodate us all while providing top-level service that you would expect to find in a gourmet restaurant in Philadelphia or better.
Was there for the first time on our anniversary. The service the food the atmosphere was all 100%. Price was on point. Nothing could have been better
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at the Powerhouse Eatery -
“it just smells like butter and garlic in here…I might have a new favorite - we found the spot!” … “how far is this place from home?”

Had an amazing meal at Powerhouse two weeks back on a Wednesday, oyster night. Delicious cocktails, unique and original dishes, wonderful atmosphere and great service. Friendly waitstaff that elevated the night with a traditional table-side serving of Absinthe. Brian, our waiter, was extremely energetic and attentive, and with some help from his friends he treated us to a new experience with the absinthe tasting. Great job!!
Wonderful dining experience! I had a pumpkin pie martini to drink and lobster bisque for an appetizer. For the main entree, I had salmon with risotto. Everything was delicious!
I expected more of a tavern fair menu, but it actually has a fine dining flare. Chef did a fantastic job. Everything was excellent. The dessert was great also.
This place is excellent! Amazing service, great food, and good vibes all around. The appetizers and entrees we delicious! I highly recommend the meatball appetizer!
Really Awesome place, delicious foods i got sea bass bites they were literally out of this world good, my cousin got the meatball app then we had the bread and fancy butter. He had a NYC Strip steak and i had the bourbon glazed salmon, possibly the best meal of ‘22!! We’ll definitely be there again soon 🔥🙏
Fantastic dinner. Really cool little piece of history turned into a fun restaurant.
Service was good, food creative and great, and drinks very tasty.
We especially loved the calamari (so light and crispy!) and the summer toast. We got several sides including Brussels sprouts and carrots, both of which were good.
Their interpretation of chicken masala was different, with the sauce more like a glaze. It wasn't what I expected but was very good nonetheless.
We were in town from Rochester NY, and getting hungry for some dinner. We were not looking for a fancy place to eat, but happened to stumble on to the Powerhouse Eatery through Google Maps. What a score! This place was spectacular- ok, it was an old power plant back in the day, saved from the ruins and brought back to life! There are these ridiculously huge heat exchanger coils hanging from the ceiling that were some of the original old powerhouse structures! They were massive and so impressive! The menu covers were like old machine manuals. Everything in this place was very cool and looked authentic. We loved the atmosphere! The wait staff was very good, and the food was amazing! We were BLOWN AWAY by how good the food was! The Lobster bisque was the best I've ever had, (and I've had it many times at many places!) Like I said, We were not expecting anything fancy, but we were super surprised and impressed when we found this place! Total unexpected score!
