Reviews of Wheeling Donuts

Just happen to park in the lot and noticed the donut shop. I just ended up giving them a try. Got 2 sugar donuts and I enjoyed them. It was pretty good. Feels like an old fashioned Mexican donut location in Wheeling. Definitely coming back and will try something else. I would recommend others to try out and help support local businesses. Gabriel was a cool guy to chat with.

Been anticipating this trip for a while. If you live from around here, you'll find that Dunkin has pretty much monopolized the entire northwest suburbs with its sugar, air, and lack of taste (yeast donuts) which is pretty unfortunate. Entering in, it's a classic dessert diner. There's plenty of space for a line of patrons between service and dining. The restaurant houses maybe 5-10 seats, and you can see the availability of their donuts from the front. If you're sugar-pilled, you can grab the donuts with the chocolate icing on top. I had their creme-filled ones and found that I needed to tear the icing off. The cream is vanilla pudding, while the majority of their donuts are cake donuts. If you're looking for a small textural change from grabbing bagels on the way home, check out Wheeling Donuts plain cake ones. Not too sweet, but can be plenty savory on the trip home. The top center donut in the photo is also a good all-rounder, especially if you want a certain crunch to your donut.
