My boyfriend and I discovered this place tonight. It was absolutely perfect. We loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious. The cute little booths made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. The House Fried Rice was to die for. I never expected it to have shrimp, chicken and pork! We immediately sent a text to my sister to recommend it! We will definitely be going back on date nights!�
Seriously, the best Chinese food in the Ohio Valley. In fact, the best Chinese food I have had ANYWHERE, and I have traveled all over the U.S. Our family has to travel over an hour to get here, but it's worth it. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are great, but the incredible food is what really sets this restaurant apart!
I have been to China Town in San Francisco and lived in Chicago for 12 years visiting the China Town there as well numerous time. I recently moved back to my home town of Wheeling and was a little worried about not getting decent Chinese food. I was shocked at the quality of here here and now frequent the establishment. This is quality food and I highly recommend it.

Still fabulous, used to be larger portions. The portion sizes have changed a lot... it's expensive now for a veggie plate considering it's celery , mushrooms and broccoli for the most part.. but we do like it there... guess we will keep going.. just don't go real hungry!

The owner approached me about this review, they were upset. They brought out my broccoli in garlic sauce with tofu add, and it was a lot of food, so they brought that to my attention in reference to my review here. Well sure it was a lot of food, I added tofu for an extra $3... bringing the meal up $3 in cost.
I love Silver Chopsticks, we go there several times a week, I tell the truth, everyone's portion sizes changed around this time, their prices didn't go up, just the quantity of food was less. The buffet is awesome, go during their buffets and eat all you want. For us it's still some of the best chinese food around, we won't stop going long as the owners still let us in! My apologies for any offense. I speak the truth, it's what I do.

Great Food. My first visit to Silver Chopsticks was a pleasant one. When you first enter you walk past a typical bar area with the dining room beyond. The dining room itself is elegant and comfortable, although dated, with pink table cloths and beautiful chandeliers. Booths are exceptionally private.
Service was prompt and attentive. The server assisted us in our selection and offered some additional insight. Their menu has most or all of the typical Chinese restaurant choices. All food came out with appropriate timing.
For appetizers, we ordered fried dumplings and an eggroll, as these are always good comparison points. They were both very fresh when delivered. I was especially pleased with the dumplings. The sauce for the dumplings is pre-prepared and kept refrigerated before use. I have no problem with this, and it was delicious! The eggroll was hot and crispy, and a good size, too.
The tea served is a heavy black tea, almost like coffee. I enjoyed this quite a bit as a tea drinker. Don't expect something milder like oolong or green tea.
Our main dish was a version of General Tso's Chicken made with all white meat. I don't know if this is their standard way of preparing this dish or if it was special for our request (once again: good service). Four large broccoli florets were arranged garnish-like on the plate along with a decorative vegetable flower. The broccoli was cooked perfectly. The chicken was fried crispy. The sauce was mild and tangy with abundant sweetness and almost no "heat." Everything was extremely fresh.
Pricing is quite reasonable and on par with other Chinese restaurants.
Best in Wheeling, now. It's not Dorothy's, but it is the best in Wheeling. Dine in or get it to go. The buffet at lunch is the best deal around! Go Enjoy!
Decent buffet food. Perfectly decent Chinese food. Good, not great, but a good solid meal. The lunch buffet is a little short on selections, only 8 dishes plus noodles, fried rice and those heavily battered chicken pieces.
We’re you here it’s one big F’d up family. It’s my favorite Chinese in the Ohio Valley. Also home of the biggest vase in the USA! Highly recommend
