Oglebay Garden Bistro

Offering a farm-to-table dining area overlooking Oglebay’s Terrace Gardens, Oglebay Garden Bistro is the perfect spot to have a relaxing dinner. Their menu features regionally sourced produce, free-range chicken + eggs, grass-fed beef, and handcrafted bread. One of the most impressive things about Oglebay is that it isn’t hard to find vegetarian-friendly food, including this delicious Garden Bistro Sandwich. I usually pass up dessert, but I couldn’t resist their Turtle Domes. So scrumptious! Not a vegetarian? I have heard that their vichyssoise is really good!

We went on a Friday night during the lights and it was a fantastic choice. The patio had heaters and we picked up a s'mores kit for the kids. There was a steady stream of people but it was never crowded and felt like we could take all the time in the world. Don't sleep on the food either! The grilled cheese was fantastic, with thick bacon and sourdough bread plus fresh kettle chips. My husband had chili and said it was delicious and spicy. Definitely check out this spot and then go see the mansion lights next door!

Had a great time with friends, we met up and ended up having dinner here at the Bistro. The staff was able to seat our party of 5 with ease and we didn't feel too close. Our Waitress was on point and even helped one order with her suggestions which was mine, price was great too so we tipped big for the great service.

Wanted to get a glass of wine before the Sunday show. Told the hostess we'd like to get a drink. She asked if we wanted it "to go". Answered that either a seat or "to go" would be fine. Hostess said it depends on if the bartender wanted to do that. Left, came back, and told us they are too busy to do that. The patio was mostly full but there was literally nobody inside. So... nope.
