Avenue Eats -- A Neighborhood Eatery

This was our first visit. I googled good places to eat in Wheeling, because we aren't too familiar with the area. The inside was small, but they use the space well. There is also outdoor seating for days when it is nice out. We tried the fries with gravy, and my husband and I both enjoyed them. I had the breakfast burger. It comes with a maple aioli. Sort of like a maple mayo. The burger was outstanding! This was out of my comfort zone. U would normally have them hold the aioli. She put it on the side for me, so I could try it before committing to have it on my entire burger. It almost tasted like a burger and french toast at the same time! We also took three of their gourmet cupcakes with us! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a chance to stop by. Cute atmosphere and friendly servers, too.

Just... Wow. I don't know where to start. This place is the best. Not only are the burgers the best I've ever had, but the chef has created some amazing combinations. The beef is grass fed, tender, and almost deserves to be eaten open faced with a fork. Everything on the menu reminds me of a something you'd fund in a luxury kitchen, but is served in this eclectic little place in Wheeling. As good as the burgers are, the staff are even better. Friendly, smiling, and enthusiastic... I bet you can't find a better experience in 500 miles. Handmade cupcakes, by the way! Flavor creations change almost everyday. Worth the visit just for those!!

Excellent, tasty burgers with awesome salads and homemade dressing. Of course their fries are awesome too! They always have decent wine/craft beer selections and the staff is so friendly. This last time we went we also got lamb tacos, which were to die for, salty, savory and perfect. We've gotten cupcakes for dessert before (from Whisk), which are also amazing! Great local restaurant!

They have been voted best hamburger in West Virginia. This is true. Their burgers are delicious. However, I love their salads too. Everything is always so fresh. Oh, and don't forget to get a cupcake for dessert. I'm a sucker for their cupcakes. They are always fresh that day. The icing is to die for. And the flavors are always unique. Tip for lunch...get there early. This place is not very big. The tables fill up quick. I usually go at 11:30 instead of waiting for the noon rush. And the staff is so friendly. I have never had a bad experience here.
