A local Chinese restaurant in Westmount. Good food, great service and at reasonable prices.

We enjoyed the food here. Beef chow fun, beef with oyster sauce, and salt and pepper squid we're all fantastic. The food came out quickly. Smaller restaurant and old decor, but the good food makes up for it.

The pork fried rice was delicious! The Szechuan green beans were flavorful but I was hoping for more spicy. The crab Rangoon was nothing special and pretty bland.

This is a no frills Chinese restaurant that serves authentic Cantonese food. I'm not sure if it suits the palettes of western folks, but for people who love fried smelt or black bean clams or beef tendon with turnips like I do, this place is fast, consistent, authentic, and tasty. I wouldn't give this restaurant gold stars for service but they are also quite busy (especially during weekend lunch). I come here every few weeks and will continue to do so.

Foods are good as told by friend. They are also less oily, tasty and generous.
The place is small but the service was fast.
Salt and spicy Japanese Tofu was the best. Chinese spinach and garlic, Singapore curry flat rice noodle were good. Actually we asked for Char Kway Teow, not curry.

Best Chinese Food in the Western Suburbs. Authentic and addicting, cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Smelt Fish is always crispy with the perfect amount of salt and pepper. Japanese Tofu is a must as well! Vegetable option, try the Stir Fry Pea Shoot with Garlic. And do not sleep on the Crispy Chicken wings.

The interior of this spot looks like it's been preserved since the 70s maybe 80s, but that aside the food is the best I've found so far in the western suburbs. On our recent visit, we tried the Japanese fried tofu which was crispy, salty, spicy on the outside, and piping hot on the inside. Bangin'. Also did an order of clams in black bean sauce. Solid, but preference would be some sort of white fish (there's always next time). Beef chow fun was pretty good. Lastly, the green string beans were perfection. From the exterior, this place isn't much to look at, but the food and service were great. I see many more visits in the near future and possible an upgrade to 5 stars as I get more acquainted with the food.
'Til next time, cheers!

We ordered the Japanese Tofu, Peking Style Pork Chops, and Dau Miu (Pea shoots).
Came with rice on the side.
The food was delicious and even with two people sharing, we had plenty of leftovers.
Will definitely order/eat here again.

For a suburban restaurant, this place has every authentic dish you can find in Chinatown too, such as crispy salt & pepper smelt or Japanese tofu, pepper tenderloin, while steamed fish, and much more. The lunch specials are a great deal! They also have dinner specials, such as dinner for 2, or 4, etc...
Good service and they speak English, Cantonese or Mandarin.
Casual dining. Casual interior.

I was skeptical of the reviews for this restaurant on Yelp, but after trying it out, I am a believer! They said that the food here is comparable to the Chinese restaurants found in LA and Asia, they weren't wrong!!
You know this restaurant is an authentic Chinese restaurant when the comes out super fast. Also looking at their food photos, you can see that the noodles and meats have beautiful charred edges, and when tasting the meats or tofu we enjoyed a wonderfully fried dish with crispy shells, welcoming you to enjoy the succulent interior! With these details, you can tell the wok skill of the chef, a real shifu!
The salt and spicy Japanese tofu was a really great dish! The tofu was fried extremely well and had crispy exteriors. The combination with green chili and onions gives it multiple layers of flavors, spiciness, sweetness, and saltiness. Excellent dish!
The Peking style pork chop has all that one expects of it and is executed to perfection. The flavors were balanced and delicious, and the pork is fried to absolute perfection. Once again, it is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. This highlights the skill of the chef and the adequate fire from the wok!
The beef Chow Mien was so good. The thin egg noodles are deep fried first to make it crispy and more it's charred edges! Then the beef with gravy is poured in top to make it softer. Personally I like a mixture of crispy and soft to give it texture.
I am so surprised why this place does not have more reviews because it definitely should be a favorite of all who loves great Chinese food, Cantonese cuisine to be exact! This place may not have the best location, but I will make my way out here anytime... The selfish part of me want this place to remain anonymous as if demand goes up, price too :-p But, what the heck, this restaurant is to good to be hidden; they worked and worked on their craft, they deserve attention!
Honestly, this restaurant makes food that matches great restaurant in Asia without the atmosphere, presentation and price!
