Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen

Pappadeaux has delicious (and expensive) seafood in a lively atmosphere. The NOLA style drinks are fruity and strong--try the Hurricane! Their shrimp & grits is excellent, as is the etouffee and rainbow trout w/truffle potatoes. Make sure to get key lime pie for dessert. Service has been just okay and last visit the restrooms were a disaster. Entrees average $30 so expect to drop a pretty penny for dinner. Mardi Gras gets CRAZY!

Great food great service nothing more to say really except try everything lol fried alligator shrimp & grits fried stuffed crab 🦀... only negative comment I would give is the fried catfish is underseasoned compared to the other items I've had better tasting fried catfish at Harolds Chicken by the united center ON Madison in Chicago but everything else Chefs kiss 💋

Killer as usual. How could I have never left a review here? Definitely not our first time here but it’s been a while since we have eaten here. Trying grouper with crab and shrimp and couldn’t have chosen a better dish, WOW!! Waitress and waiters are all VERY friendly and it has a great atmosphere. We will make it a point to make the 2 1/2 hour drive to eat here again soon. It is absolutely worth it if you are a seafood aficionado.

I live in Columbus OH, but was in Chicago visiting friends and for a weekend event held in Oak Brook. My Chicago friends recommended Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen for lunch. I have to say, everything about this place was wonderful. The decor, waitstaff, food and service was top notch!!! The decor was beautiful and comfortable both inside and out. And the food, oh my word, the food was soooo delicious and came to the table hot, not lukewarm or cold. We had five at our table and we each ordered something different.I ordered the Fried Catfish with red beans and rice and strawberry lemonade. My plate had 3 large pieces of fish and ample serving of the most delicious red beans and rice I ever had. The appetizers we had was the Crab and Spinach dip and the Shrimp and Crawfish Fondeaux (if you had spread that yummylicious Fondeaux on my arm I would have eaten my arm it was that delicious) One of my friends had the Pasta Mardi Gras. I can't remember what everyone else had, but we all left fully satisfied and licking our lips. We don't have Pappadeaux in Columbus, but there is one in Cincinnati, which about one and a half hours away. I fully intend to travel that far to eat at Pappadeaux. I hope Columbus will get a Pappadeaux here sometime in the near future.....it's that good!!!!!!!!!!

The food here is so very good but it was nothing compared to the service!! Our server was so attentive and the overall customer service was phenomenal...I ordered the quail and they were out, when the young lady came to tell me she was extremely apologetic and even paid for my appetizer. Providing this kind of service will definitely pull me back into your place of business!

My first time here with a party of 4 total. Atmosphere was wonderful, the theme was focused on a urban fisherman’s town with lots of wonderful decorations. I tried the ultimate platter to sample it all. It was tasty but way too much food to finish it (this is not a knock). My wife is GF and they had some options but not many GF options on their GF only menu. I also ordered the old fashioned and it was tasty but wasn’t garnished with any cherry or orange. For the price I would have liked it to be garnished. For desert, I tried the key lime pie. It was delicious and well prepared. My only knock from keeping this a 5 star experience was the service. They were very busy from what I could tell, however there were a lot of employees working and it still took a long time to get our drinks, take our order and the little things like keeping our water filled and removing dirty dishes. Service must improve, especially with those meal and drink prices. Overall, good restaurant to try and experience if you like seafood.
