Brasstown Creek Gathering Place Bbq

I enjoyed my first visit. Fun place with an interesting menu. They feature a BBQ sauce which I've never had before (and I've pretty much run the gamut), but I liked it. During the pandemic they were closed to inside dining but they had outside tables and an open roofed area for seating. But you ordered at a takeout window. Nevertheless, they brought your food to you and replenished your tea. I was with a group of about 25 which had reservations, and they seated us a 3 adjacent tables. I found the ribs good but a little dry (maybe I should have added some of the BBQ sauce (I had asked for it on the side). I did add sauce to the pulled pork. Fries were fine and the Brunswick stew was good if a little small. They have bulk meats and sides, but I had a platter w/ 2 sides. There was a huge helping of pulled pork. (The rib was from my DIL.)

The flavor, quality and quantity of food portions, the service, and WOW the atmosphere were all phenomenal!! This place is nestled back on a country road, so not only did we get to enjoy the food, but the drive to and from are totally worth it!! This is my new favorite BBQ place ❤ Just remember to bring cash or check - they aren't set up to process credit/debit cards.
