I was born and raised in Westminster, MD until we moved overseas. We used to go to Hoffman's after our baseball games and the ice cream was always amazing.
Since we were visiting Maryland, I brought my own kids here and it was every bit as good as I remembered from my childhood years.
The girls loved it too. And WOW that S'mores Sundae is incredible! It's big enough for at least two or three people 🍨.
Here's to another 75 years!

Don't let the line dissuade you! It's worth the wait! Also, they're pretty good at keeping the line moving.
The scoop ice cream is amazing and they use it in their wonderful ice cream cakes too. They also carry a large selection of toppings for your scoop. I mean, where else can you get ice cream cake crunchies on your cup of ice cream!?!
Careful in the parking lot, though; there are a few pinch points and a steady stream of pedestrians.

Always a pleasure coming here. I've been coming to Hoffman's for over 40 years. While they are expensive and the lines can be long, it is all well worth it. The ice cream is always smooth and creamy. The young staff are always sweet and speedy. 100 stars describes Hoffman's!

I go to the deli for lunch almost daily. Chicken salad is pretty good. I really enjoy their pretzel rolls. This place is known for their ice cream though. Every year I get an ice cream cake for my birthday. This year I got three lol I highly recommend this place to everyone I know. Local family owns it and it’s been a staple in the community for decades.

We decided to go to Hoffman's today for hand scooped ice cream. We usually do not go here bc of the inconsistency in the workers amount of ice cream given. Today it was no different. We ordered two scoops. It honestly looked like two half scoops. We also got a banana split. Just asking for no strawberry, substitute with another chocolate. Normally, the ingredients are the same everywhere. It's what one expects of a banana split. Not here, at least with this girl. We ended up with a fudge sundae with bananas. At least she gave us our monies worth in ice cream. So I'll give her that.

Quaint little ice cream shop that stays busy. It really is no wonder they do stay busy too! Their ice cream selection is large and boy is it tasty!
The staff is as sweet as the ice cream. They are a friendly lively bunch that make you feel right at home. You are treated like one of the family and not just as a guest.
The prices are spot on. I got a coffee milkshake and I must say it was one of the best I've had!

Wonderful mom and pop ice cream shop and deli on Washington Avenue in Westminster MD. Great selection of sandwiches with a small convenience store. Lots of chips and drinks. Highlight is definitely the ice cream. Couple dozen flavors, all great. Shakes, floats, and sundaes. Cones, cups and to go 0ints and quart. Peppermint ice cream is fantastic. Lots of parking. No real outdoor seating, but plenty of space if you have your own chair. Highly recommended!!

This is one of our favorite spots in the area. We always make sure our freezer is stocked with the ice cream sandwiches! Line always goes fast too, which is a plus since it's so popular (and for good reason)
