OMG AFGHAN KABOB. I know I'm a little late to the party for this place, but I finally got there for lunch today (still in the parking lot, actually😄) and I have the happiest overstuffed tummy in the world right now! I had the Qabeli Pallow (a lamb shank & rice dish), falafel, bread & chai tea with rosewater. The meat was so tender, the rice cooked perfectly, the falafel deliciously homemade, the bread fresh from the oven, and the tea such a very soothing after lunch treat! The customer service was more than that..so warm & welcoming and fun to chat with! Reminded me of how my dad used to describe some people as "never met a stranger". Ok..one complaint..I may need to plan some extra workouts having such crave worthy food nearby😬 Thank you for bringing something special to a Monday! I'm already trying to decide what I'll be ordering tomorrow, but I think I'll ride my bike to feel less guilty.😁
Cozy atmosphere inside the restaurant! I ordered the chicken Qorma; very flavorful and ample portions. Quick fire time on the order to boot! Will return again in the future.
If you are looking for the most authentic Afghani cuisine west of the motherland then look no further than Afghan Kabob! The last time I had something even remotely close to the Qabuli Palaw here was in Peshawar, Pakistan prepared by an Afghan gentleman. The chappli kabobs are amazing as well, I’m not a big fan of chappli in general but I could not stop eating the ones from this place. The service is great, and you can clearly tell this family cares strongly about their business. I would definitely drive 15 hours to get another taste even though I have an Afghan restaurant 40 minutes from me 😉
