First time here and ordered Canh Bún (vermicelli noodle soup w/ escargot meat, tofu, blood pork and shrimp paste), it was delicious. Will be back soon to try other dishes.
Love this place been here twice even as a party of one!
It was good to finally have a wonderful dine-in restaurant experience after 4 months of Covid-19 isolation. Food was awesome and the filet mignon penne dish was the best. The pho was also excellent. I really like this family-style business. Plenty of parking and will try something in a sizzling steel bowl next time. We saw two tables getting it.
Good authentic traditional Vietnamese food. We ordered family style for five people and an extra dish for a vegetarian. Total came out to about $25 each for six people (including tip). The banh beo was pretty good and the fish sauce was spicy from the Thai chilli. The bo luc loc was good in that the beef was nice and tender. Carmalized fish was on point! Very good if you know your ca kho. The canh Chua was also good. A little more on the sweet side, I prefer mine more sour however. Definitely recommend the garlic morning Glorys as a side dish, paired very well with everything. Overall, a good dining experience if you miss that home cooked Vietnamese food. I will be back next time to try the noodle soups, there's a lot to pick from.
The food was good and the service was good. A lot of traditional Vietnamese food. One thing I don't like is they only take cash. I hope in the future, they are able to take credit or debit card.
Thie restaurant serves home style food. I found it surprisingly tasty. There is a bit of a line for every lunch and dinner hours. But the food is great and price it's cheap. On the menu, look at the back page. There is a list of special menu for.$7.99. The portion is Tapas like (small plates). So just be mindful of that.
I’ve been here so many times lol Got to be the best Vietnamese food I’ve tried. Keep in mind I travel from San Gabriel/ Alhambra area over here.
Staff was friendly and were always available to assist with any request you had. Food was delicious and was a great getaway from all the fast food in the area. I definitely recommend coming here.
The food was good and I don't want to be mean 😬 I have definitely had better on my travels. But having said that if you're in this area I'd definitely recommend eating here, I give it 4/5 as I had another Vietnamese meal on this trip and that one was better 🤷♂️
It's always great when you find that wholesome quality in you favorite foods. Mai's Kitchen was that and more. The service was excellent and Diana, our server was even more helpful chiming in with her advice to make our meal more enjoyable. We ordered one of their original recipes of lemongrass vermecilli that came with grilled shrimp , beef, and fried egg rolls. While the visual appeal was already appetizing, the balance of the ingredients and spicy fish sauce really accentuated the flavor. I ordered the Udon noodles with shrimp, chives, quail eggs, and fish cake. Beautiful and delcious. Well balanced and pleasing to the stomach. I will definitely be heading back to this place soon.
Nice place to have agood vietnamese home-cooked meals
I stumbled upon this place on a random Wednesday. Since then, I have been back several times and like to consider myself a regular. I have gotten to know the staff, including the mastermind and chef behind the delicious food - Be. Not only is she an awesome chef, but she is also very personable, often times coming out of the kitchen to check on customers herself. Not many places are you able to get the know the individual behind the food. I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed!
