Have always been a big fan but won't be returning! Went for lunch and while the place was almost empty took 30 minutes to get food. Staff was unprofessional, slow and very confused. Not clean, dirty tables, floors, restroom was disgusting! Supplies seem to be sourced from big lots non-branded and haphazard at best. Food was awful, cheddar mac salad was warm, tasteless, dry and made with sliced American cheese sandwich was thrown in a styrofoam box and had to assemble myself. Must have changed ownership and they have no standards.

Horrible. Took 20 minutes to get food. At the 15 minute mark I asked how much longer and the manager just gave a blank stare and didn't say a thing. Employee was apologetic though. It was really frustrating too to look over the counter and see them working super slow. Update: Sandwiches were delicious.

The sandwich I got was really good. The facility wasn't very well maintained. The card reader was down, and people had to go to the marathon to get cash. I'm a very card dependant user, and was lucky that I had cash on me, or I would have went and got Chinese food. Also the soda machine was down, basically out of stock on syrup in basically everything but diet. Also taking my money with gloves on is a no no.

My mom and I went to grinders today on my lunch break. We got there and there was a party if 15 people and also another family of a mother and daughter before us and also a dad and his two sons who came in behind us. They got the grinders out for everyone else except for our subs. We waited 45 mins to get our food and there were 3 people in there working. I ket going up to the counter to see if our subs were coming out and nothing was coming out. Just plain ridiculous. Bring back the old management team that used to be there. This new team they have in there is just plain awful. I used to love this place and came here every Saturday and I'll tell you now we will never come back. The manager was back in the back while the employees up front were working their asses off and it seemed like there was no communication in there at all.

I've visited this restaurant many times over many years. After being closed for a very, very long time (maybe 1 year or two), it was reopened with a significantly different environment - both to the physical location and management.
The restaurant is a ghost town compared to pre-close atmosphere. Of the dozen or so times I have visited since the closure, the number of customers (maybe 1 or 2) equaled the number of staff working (usually 1, sometimes 2).
Here is what I have experienced:
- Walk in the door and greeted by an employee telling me "we're out of meat"
- While waiting, one of two employees comes to me to say he has been injured (proudly displaying his bloody finger) and has called his Mom to help him. Oh, and my order will be delayed.
- Posters throughout the dining area of wine bottles (Grinders doesn't serve alcohol).
- A manager apologizing for the length of my wait and offering a free soda. The problem - over half of the soda dispensers were "out of order".
- I swear the stimpolini is leftover from pre-remodel. It looked really, really bad.
- Gone are the traditional and visually appealing deli counters. I can't see my food being prepared as I could before the remodel.
- Gone is the conveyor oven that perfectly prepared the open-faced grinders sandwiches. Now they are prepared in a traditional speed oven .
What makes this entire review so frustrating is that the food is actually pretty good. If only:
- They could get an ownership group in that actually takes pride in their store
- They would commit to hiring the right people and training them to do their job well
- They would provide the funds needed to keep the inventory up-to-date and the equipment in working order
- Understand this is a deli and purchase the equipment needed to provide a deli product
- Change the vibe of the restaurant by allowing customers to see food preparation and remove the silly wine posters
Then maybe - just maybe - this store would start making sense. As it stands now, it is a picture of inconsistency in terms of the product, management, delivery and preparation of the product and environment.
Good luck with all of that.

One employee in entire establishment. 4 soft drink dispensers are out of order (out of 8). No napkins. Chips were 2 days from expired. Food wasn't bad though.

11/27/15 ordered 2 sandwiches for pick up to be ready in 20 minutes. Arrived after 30 minutes and was told I had to wait 10 more minutes until someone came into the store to slice meat. Three employees on staff, no manager. They would no give me a phone number for manager.
