Bru Burger

Our 2nd visit to the Carmel location. First time ordering a salad, and the blackened chicken chop salad was amazing. Order the large! My husband got the Mexi lamb burger and fries and daughter got the cod sandwich. We stopped in for a birthday meal after a tournament. They were kind enough to gift us a free dessert but the dessert menu is lacking in options for sure. I guess they figure who doesn't like a brownie? A few more dessert options and coke products instead of Pepsi would've made this experience better. Also the way the kitchen is pretty open to the dining room crushes any ambiance the nice decor provides for. Overall always a great meal and perfect service.

Went during burger week 2022. Best burger so far! Burgers were all correctly cooked to the ordered doneness. We all ordered the special discounted burger because we might have ordered that one even without the discount. The Bru fries with the house-made ketchup, BBQ sauce and black pepper mayo are recommended, if only for the trio of dipping options. Even the diner who doesn't eat condiments liked them. Similarly the ones who don't normally care that much for ketchup, BBQ, or mayo liked these versions. The fries themselves were not extraordinary, but the sauces really made them shine. Again, the burgers were the best we've had this week too.

I like food... I eat it often. I have no idea why I waited so long to eat here. The Bru Burger might be the single-best cheeseburger I have ever had. Sure, it's not exactly inexpensive, as burgers go, but it's well worth a few extra bucks. Get some onion rings and a house Bloody Mary to go with it. Seriously...really, really good.

It's okay. I had the patty melt and chili cheese fries. The fries seemed fresh cut and were crispy and tender and I liked them. The chili was a bit strange in that it was thin (like soupy) and was a bit sweet and did not have a lot of substance. What made the chili cheese fries was the cheese sauce, it was tasty. The patty melt was fine but again on the sweet side. The burger patty was good quality however under seasoned. The special sauce I liked but a bit too sweet and over time took over the flavor profile. The rye bread was as it should be. I tried the onion rings and they were seasoned well but the batter was very thick and heavy, you can only eat a few of them. We tried the black bean burger and liked the bun and the spice but the patty was really mushy and had a wet doughy texture we did not care for. We also tried the burger snack and was cooked well but was not a fan of the bun as it also just turned to a doughy consistency. The decor was nice and the wait staff was great. They had a decent variety items and drinks. Price wise they are in the fast casual range.
