The food was great and the service was awesome. It's very rustic in the place and there's some great nostalgia. It's def a place you should fuel up before you go hit Yellowstone or whatever your plans are for the day.

Friendly staff. Slow service. Hot food but bland. Poor quantity for price. Little spendy. We waited quite a while before getting water and asking if we wanted menus, we already scanned the table and saw the menu. during that time a big table walked out while waiting to order. Cool decor. The cook came out and shuffled drinks and orders between a few tables that came during our time waiting.

We were there for lunch on a very busy day, so we had to wait a while to be seated. Food took a good while to come out as well, but it was very good. The most impressive part of the visit was April. This lady was manning the hostess desk, refilling drinks, taking orders, and fetching the entire time we were there. She deserves a HUGE raise. I would recommend trying the Outpost if you are in the area.

When I originally frequented this eatery I was left disappointed. I had a horrible first experience, but decided to give it another shot despite my original experience. I returned to the eatery almost a decade later. It is a completely different restaurant. The food is better than ever and now they offer more options for vegetarians. This restaurant completely transformed from bad to good and is now one of the best in the area.

Ordered salads and never got them, they basically ignored is the entire time we were there, brought out our food, which I ordered the stew and you can see what it looked like. It was good but the server was serving people that came in after us. Not coming back

The food is terrible and the management is awful!!!
I decided to order the all you can eat soup and salad. I knew the salad bar was ok at best, but I was hopeful for the soup. They "offered" two soups. One was completely empty. They other was cold. One of the employees made a comment about the soup pot not working to keep the soup hot. I asked for them to adjust my order due to the soup not being available. Our server offered to HEAT the soup for me. I declined. So many questions in my head.. 1. how long had the soup been in there NOT at the proper temperature? No thanks I don't want my food poisoning heated!
Our server told us that the manager would be fixing the bill to compensate for the issue. Nothing was done. On top of that we were charged for a soda we never ordered!!!

Many may not consider this a high class restaurant, but it was clean, fast service, good food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices.
One must consider the location. West Yellowstone at the west entrance to the Park has a unique ambiance. This restaurant embodies that atmosphere.

Got there right at 6:30 when they opened. Not crowded. Nice friendly girl seated us and took our order. Breakfast was good - go for the sourdough toast and sausage. Coffee good as well.
