Vince's Restaurant, a vary quaint old school establishment, is frequented by many and went there last night. We had the Prime Rib Medium Rare with a bottle of wine.
It was Karina's Birthday and had an enjoyable pleasant evening.
Service and staff were excellent, Prime Rib was incredible, wine was delicious, atmosphere was comfortable and price was great.
Thank you all and will recommend to everyone.
The food was excellent and even though they were very busy, our server Iris was on top of it all. Great place to eat!
I grew up eating here for several decades and loved this place. I have to say I was hesitant to come back after the ownership changed but after giving it a try, I will definately be back. There are a few minor differences from the old Vinces but none are really bad, just different. What I can say is they give you enough food to feed an army and don't charge outrageous prices. Great value, great service and good food! Strongly recommend even if you are used to the Vinces that was here for years, you won't be disappointed!
Pretty good. Got some linguini with marinara sauce carry out. Cooked perfect al dente and was a huge portion. Came with a very basic salad, large piece of bread, and a cup of parmesian. Was very happy with it, although was a bit pricy. I will be going back.
Slow. So Talk, Laugh, Eat.. Initial appearance can be deceiving, but part of the whole experience; the motel parking lot, the entrance, a bar?, and finally the restaurant. I suggest trying their Baked Ravioli, Baked Lasagna, or Cannelloni all of which are excellent portions and served with warm bread, soup or salad and ice cream. I typically go for their soup (Minestrone or Clam Chowder). The clam chowder is very thick and peppery -- not to most people's liking -- but I have come to really like it. Then I finish off with their Spumoli Ice cream. The service is not the fastest, so I encourage you to be patient, use the time to laugh it up with the party -- talk, laugh, eat -- almost like an Italian family? I still remember the first time made me feel out of place, but in the end Vince's has become a favorite restaurant of mine.
Half steak sandwich is the deal. The lunch special - half steak sandwich doesn't look like a half at all, good value. Comes with large wedge cut fries and salad.
The place has a grandparents decor, probably why this is my grandmothers 'go to' suggestion. Kinda depressing, but the food is decent and fresh.
Soup is probably a better choice than the salad, which is iceberg lettuce and some beans thrown on top.
It's not on the menu, but order the pizza. If you're a displaced east-coaster, love California, but miss the East coast Italian food...especially the pizza (pineapple is NOT a legitimate topping)...Vince's is the place to go. I've been on a search for good (excellent) pizza since I left the East, almost 30 years ago. My search has finally and very happily ended with Vince's pizza. Pepperoni, extra cheese, and just a little extra sauce...mmm...I'm calling them now to get one to go!
First time ordering from this restaurant, had the chicken marsla. The chicken was really tender and the sauce was yummy. Would have liked sour cream for the baked potato.
Love Vince's! Had an absolutely delicious steak and sides that can't be beat. The restaurant is clean with a spacious dining area and a cozy bar. The staff are wonderful folks delivering the best personalized service you will find in the Sacramento area.
Great Old style Italian American restaurant good steaks ,pasta dishes and all the classic dishes. We were with a party of 19 people last night. We all ordered separately, and all of us left very happy with the food and service.
The food was amazing and the portion was of satisfaction, the baked Ravioli and Lasagna was the best I have ever tasted and the staff is very friendly and attentive,I would definitely be going back there for more.
They are simple but bursting with flavor every time. They have a new way of making the taco with larger flour tortillas.
